On a side street off of Tunis' main boulevard, L'Orient looks pretty seedy, especially at night, but inside the 1956 decor is delightfully dated, the service friendly and attentive and the food plentiful and inexpensive. A big seafood lunch for two with wine was 69 TD. As the European shores of the Med are losing their fish stocks to over-fishing, Tunisia's abundant, fresh fish supplies are all the more remarkable. L'Orient is a fine spot in downtown Tunis to appreciate this abundance,
