- Free Wifi
- Breakfast included
we stayed here on our last visit in December-2013, this hotel provides all the amenities of a business hotel plus the rooms are spacious and well furnished, there is only one negative comment that i would like to give is that the room service maids just barge in to the room without even knocking at the door to check if anyone is inside to take permission (they came in at 8:30 am!) so we had to keep the "do not disturb sign" on all the time we were in the room.... other than that it was a pleasant stay
- My latest stay at Tunis Ibid Hotel was from 7 to 10 December 2013.
- I noticed that the good standards that make me book in this hotel are maintained: professional reception desk staff, good bar-cafe service, good food at the restaurant, at reasonable prices
- Stayed in room 519 which I recommend, looking west, sun-bathed and kept spotlessly clean
- Taxis available just outside the hotel
- 15-minute walk to central Tunis.
We spent one night at the Ibis Tunis before flying on to Morocco. This hotel seems to be new and modern. It was a good choice.
The location isn't convenient to sight-seeing around Tunis. The metro is close but very confusing.
The staff was friendly. The food in the restaurant was expensive but quite good.
Ibis rooms are small and better suited to a one-night stay but we were impressed with this one.
I have selected the Ibis Hotel in Tunis because I did not have time to plan the trip, so I decided to play safe. It was a good bet: the hotel has the convenient features you find in Ibis hotels around the world such as easy check in/out, bar and buffet,. The room is clean and basically the same as in other Ibis hotels, just a bit larger. And there is free wifi in the room (some Ibis hotels only have free wifi in the lobby).
As to location: the hotel is located at a very accessible place between the airport and the Medina. The trip to the airport is very short and took me 15 minutes (off-peak hours). The surface Metro is just a few blocks away and the Medina can be reached by a 20 minute walk.
The service is very attentive. They were able to arrange a driver for the trip to Dougga at a reasonable price and were helpful with local indications such as providing directions to nearby restaurants.
In summary: convenient, quiet, no-frills hotel which provided me with a good base for exploring Tunis.
