“Roman mosaics and ruins”
Reviewed October 24, 2013 via mobile

This museum have some wonderful mosaics taken from the roman villas nearby. In the garden you can see ruins of the villas. It is a surprisingly large archeological park. The museum is in walking distance from the great amphitheater.

“Worth visiting”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We visited this privately on a trip to El Jem area. It was lovely to see the mosaics and the reconstructed Roman villa. Would definitely recommend a visit - we spent over an hour there, although I think most people would spend less time.

One thing we only found out afterwards - you will get charged to take photos. We got charged 1 dinar each. However, we later found out that as we only had 1 camera between us, we should only have been charged a total of 1 dinar as the charge is per camera.

“Amazing, well worth a visit”
Reviewed September 11, 2013 via mobile

Wasn't quite sure what to expect when we booked visiting here as part of a Thomson day trip, having visited the slightly larger colosseum in Roma.
The amphitheatre has been well preserved with much of still standing, you are able to go down stairs under parts of it, and climb up and look down on the centre, where the fights would of taken place. I'm not one for heights, but was easily able to climb up and am pleased I did. Defiantly worth a visit and beak from the sun bed.

It has the best Roman Mosaics collections. Most of them are very intact and well preserved under 1 roof.
