What is there not to like when you are in Serengeti national park? From the time you see the wildlife to the time you get to this hotel everything is incredible.
The hotel is expensive however the rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. The food is also great.
The infrastructure sucks so it is amazing that this hotel is able to provide the services it can.

The room are big and comfortable, everything is quite clean. The staff is very kind and helpful. The area is magnificient, the hotel is located within the reserve itself so there's so much view to the reserve.

Past sundown you are not supposed to walk by yourself, you're supposed to call reception and get a ranger to walk you to the restaurant, etc. Dont expect they arrive with a shotgun to eliminate any lions... they come with a flashlight :-)

Food is really good, they usually offer an all you can eat including a "make it yourself" pasta where you choose the ingredients and they toss it in a wok-like pot, including whatever sauces wanted. Meat, poultry and fish are served usually from the grill, but there are also some stews (though most of them are Indian food).

Room Tip: 2nd floors usually have better view to the savana

A really lovely hotel in a wonderful setting overlooking the Serengeti. The hotel is busy but still feels relaxing after a couple of days on the plain. The rooms are comfortable, and clean, although I must admit their bed making needs a little practice!
Food is plentiful, buffet style but sometime chaotic when peak times.
You have to be escorted after dark, thought this was a bit of a con until they pointed out animal hiding close by!

I took a day off game viewing and treated myself to a massage in 'the massage tent' near the pool. One side of the tent is opened to the bush and, in complete privacy, I was pampered with the sounds of the birds and the rustle of the wild in the background. Jessca is a phenomenal masseuse and I spent an idyllic hour being gently pummelled and massaged. Suitably relaxed I enjoyed a quiet lunch with the Dik-diks as spectators whilst I ate. Most of the guests were out on the plains. Next I spent an hour or two in the infinity pool just watching the wide expanses in the distance and reading my book. Sit in the pool with your binoculars. Cool entertainment! I highly recommend the accommodation and the staff at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is beautifully designed to fit the wilderness surrounding while providing very comfortable accommodation and high quality service. Assistant Manager Ibrahim and Eric at the Reception were dedicated to our satisfaction. Ibrahim took care of our needs from arrival to departure. We were given room #8, a second floor room with a balcony providing excellent view. The room was comfortable with Mosquito net covering over the king size bed and free WIFI. The rooms are in quaint looking huts with 2 rooms at the lower floor and one room at the upper floor. The food was buffet style, except the soups, and the quality was very good with plenty of choices. You are given escort to/from dinning room as animals may roam by your hut. There are many Tsetse flies on the wooded 15 km road before you arrive Serengeti Serena Lodge, however our guide closed the roof and windows of our Land Cruiser for this 15km stretch when driving to/from the lodge, and so the Tsetse flies were not a problem for us. We did not see any Tsetse flies in the lodge itself.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on second floor, with a grea view and close to the main building. Room #8 especially...

Very beautifully presented hotel, lovely rooms and decor.
Free wifi everywhere, including in your rooms.
Lots of wildlife around - we saw dik diks from our hotel room, they have a tree with weavers nesting in, literally right by a path so you can see them very close, and frogs etc in the ponds, lizards on the walls.
Beautiful views over the Serengeti from the infinity pool, lovely food, friendly staff, although you will have to be escorted to your room after dark.
Didn't hear anything from our neighbours in the hotel rooms that shared the large huts.
Would definitely recommend!
