“Understated, Yet So Important”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

Tiny museum for a site that traces the origin of mankind. This is probably the 'mecca' for archeologists. Too bad it does not have the stature of a major attraction. It probably needs a huge injection of cash to build appropriate facilities and staff it properly.

“Interesting!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

This is a place I've heard about and taught students about and now have had a chance to visit. An informational talk is given and then you have a chance to go through the small museum and learn more about the Leakey's and others who worked in this area. Very interesting and worthwhile.

“Stop by if you are interested in archeology”

Interesting stop between the ngorongoro crater and the serengeti. A small museum gives lots of information. Not really much to see.

“It was OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

It was alright, a quick stop to view some history. The gift shop was as big as the entire museum. You can be in and out in about a half hour. (Not that that is a bad thing).

Interesting little museum. Copy of the 3.6 year old hominid footprints. Very interesting piece of history.
