If your idea of roughing it is staying at the Ritz instead of the Four Seasons then this place isn’t for you. If you want to experience Africa the way European Explorers did in the 1930’s with modern plumbing then this is the place. This place was not just a tent camp it was an experience. Truely harkens back to the 1930’s traveling safari camps. The accommodations are tents. No raised floors but there are nice area rugs. There is modern plumbing with a nice shower. Privacy is a bit limited but still doable. Location, location, location. Unfenced and right in the middle of the Serengeti. Wild life is everywhere, including inside the camp. Food and service here were beyond expectations. The staff quickly became family. Add to that the view from the lounge and all the pressures of life are forgotten. Amazing, rugged and simple experience. So glad we went. Remember it is a tent it’s not the Ritz. But who cares. We didn’t. Just look at that view!

This camp provided us with all we asked for in a first-time camping safari. The food was very well prepared. The staff was exceptional in their caring for us in every way. It was clear to us that they wanted us to enjoy our stay. And, we did.

We stayed in the Camp for 3 nights and it wasn't long enough! The views from the lounge area out over the Serengeti are amazing. You could stay there all day with a book and drink and just relax with the views. We really felt as peace here. The food was excellent and dining under the stars by candlelight and tiki torches at our own privately placed table was an unforgettable experience. That being said, the staff was amazing and felt very personal. They go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be.

The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Be aware that there are no outlets for use in the rooms. Don't plan on using a hair dryer - but why would you anyways on safari. Charging stations are at the front of the camp for phones, computers, cameras etc. No issues with doing that.

Wildlife is definitely around the camp. We even had a pride of lions very very close to us one night (heard the roar which stopped us dead in our tracks in the tent). It was a great place to stay and make the most out of our drives during the day. We got to witness the great migration which was a bucket list item for us and it was jaw dropping.

We were so happy to read this wonderful review, thank you so much!

The view from camp is like you mention, amazing and offers a complete panorama from the lake, plains, Savannah, rock formation and mountains from distance. Delighted that you were able to check something of your bucket list- the Great Migration, is a sight to behold, and we're so glad you were able to experience that whilst staying with ut!

We look forward to hosting you again.
