We came to Dunia from Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, which is a tough act to follow. Richard was very welcoming and the stay was perfect. We had a honeymoon dinner, and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend it!

This is an absolutely amazing place to stay!! Richard and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful in every way. The food was some of the best we've ever had - I wanted to bring home the chef but Richard wouldn't let him go!

Room Tip: Tent rooms are unlike anything we've every stayed in - beautiful and comfortable in every way!!

Had a fun few days at Dunia camp, with great food and service. The camp is efficiently run and the manager, Richard, was helpful and attentive. Great game viewing...even heard lions early in the morning (fortunately, heard but not seen close by).

Room Tip: Avoid tent #5 as the mirror is placed too close to the shower and the back opening.

We stayed three nights in Dunia Camp, a group of 8 of us on a photo safari through the crater and then the Serengeti, and Dunia Camp stands out, among all the places we stayed, as a favorite!
The place itself is beautiful, thoughtfully laid out, with a beautiful view of the grasslands (listened to lions and hyenas in the evening hours...and enjoyed an amazing thunderstorm one night!)...the camp is intimate in size and the tents were really lovely and very comfortable. The bucket showers are an experience! Turns out all I need is a bucket full of warm water to get a really good shower, even with my long hair! We had no issues with flies (as some reviewers have mentioned) or water in the rooms, or anything else. No, the towels are not crisp, hotel white, but they are clean and dry! You are, afterall, living in the bush and water is precious!
The staff, especially our host, Richard, was attentive and funny and helpful...morning, noon and night! I was feeling a bit of delayed jet lag and dehydration the first full day so I opted to stay in camp all day instead of going on our all day game drives and the staff treated me so kindly!
Dunia Camp certainly makes you feel like you have indeed arrived in Africa and they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay with them! Highly recommend!!! I would definitely return!

Room Tip: The tents are nicely spaced to allow privacy and views from each...I don't think there is a bad...

We spent two nights in Dunia in February immediately after staying in sister camp Olakira. Both camps are excellent but the Dunia tents struck us as a little more stylish and spacious.
There were some minor glitches here. We didn't like the fact that there were no safes in the tents and we had to ask three times for a second water bottle for our tent. Overall though, the experience was very positive with excellent food and service. There is some breathtaking scenery in the Moru Kopjes near the camp and we finally caught up to the migration in this area. Be prepared for tse-tse flies as you enter and leave camp though they were not a problem in the camp itself. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All tents looked identical. We were in the furthest tent and enjoyed the seclusion.

We first-time visitors to Africa and Tanzania found Dunia Camp to be awesome. Manager Richard and his crew were really wonderful to us. I learned some Iro from Richard, some more Maasai words from William, and more Swahili from Saleh. Saleh and Richard even taught my husband some customized handshakes. Filippo was an excellent maitre d'. The first night at dinner, it was clear that Richard and Filippo had noted that I don't eat fish (which was on the menu for that evening) because I was given a delicious chicken entree instead. As with Olakira, Dunia's sister camp, we found the staff to be top-notch and kind and happy to teach us their languages and about our surroundings. The tent was amazing and we heard lions and hyenas vocalizing at night. We felt we were in a dream the whole time we were in Tanzania, and Dunia contributed to our sense of amazement. Also, as with Olakira, the only negative experiences we had were due to other guests who turned us off with their rudeness and insensitivity. Yet even these folks were handled with grace, a tribute to Richard and his staff. We highly recommend Dunia for travelers who appreciate what is done for them.

Dunia held a reputation of excellence, sadly it appears that Dunia staff are now resting on their laurels and are no longer striving to provide the 'first class' accommodation and service. Our stay was marred by stained towels, stained/dirty curtains and sullen staff. At meal times we had to resort to going over to the bar area to fill our drinks glasses ourselves, whether wine or otherwise, due to the staff being inattentive. At best we would only rate this camp as 'average'. By contrast our stay at nearby Asanja camp was truly 'first class'.
