What an amazing experience! From the timely pick up from our camp in their luxury land cruisers to the coffee stand while you wait for the balloons to be ready to fly! We received a very warm welcome early morning with the smell of fresh coffee and even a portable washroom in the middle of no where! While waiting for the balloons to be inflated we were treated to a magnificent dawn. The staff was more than accommodating with everyone asking them to take pictures and did so with a big smile on their faces. Our captain was Shane while the other balloon was flown by Bob. They are the funniest guys around! Getting in the balloon is easy, for those wondering! The baskets have little steps! We were treated to an amazing sunrise over the Serengeti and Shane made sure all of us had our photo opportunities by turning the balloon around and by handing out binoculars! We saw many animals, from gazettes to hyena's, zebra's, elephants etc.! The views are spectacular! And when you have landed (keep in mind the captains have nothing to say about how they land, this depends on the wind conditions) you are taken to their breakfast spot in the middle of the Serengeti! We were lucky enough to encounter a whole group of lions crossing the road and the driver gave us all the time to look and take pictures before continuing to breakfast. And the breakfast itself: so amazing! Bacon, sausages, potatoes, fruit, eggs made to order, coffee and tea, it was abundant! And you are welcomed by their team with songs and dance. And then there is the 'Loo with the View'! Make sure to check it out, even if you don't have to go! We had an amazing time with Shane and Bob and the team! And they even take pictures and send these to you afterwards!
