I enjoyed my stay here at the Best Western Hotel here in Dar Es Salaam due to the excellent customer service, great breakfast and top notch gym. 1. Great service with complimentary juice when you check in and check in was quick and uneventful 2. Rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable bed. Rooms were cleaned every day. 3. Morning breakfast was delicious with native dishes like the fresh watermelon juice and that delicious vegetarian soup. 4. The gym was just awesome with all the workout equipment you could imagine. 5. Complementary water and WiFi also free breakfast. 6. I felt the price of $80US was a bit inflated due to the city and cost of living
Overall I would recommend this hotel for your next stay in Dar Es Salaam

Convenienent but not to the stanadrd of BW elsewhere. Rooms are quite dirty and gym is smelling sweat and appears filthy. Hotel staff are excellent and put a smile on their face all the time but lacks that appeal of BW standards.

I’ve stayed in many many hotels in Dar over the years and this is undoubtedly the best hotels in Dar. The rooms are great (perfect a/c, bathrooms are modern with great water pressure/hot water, blackout curtains, tv with many English channels, bottled water, etc), the breakfast is great and they have two restaurants, a pool, a gym and spa. All of this for a really great price and location!
Also, the staff are always super friendly and helpful.
In short, this is easily the best hotel in Dar for the money, and one of the best for any price. I’ve stayed in many Dar hotels for double this price that were much worse.

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Tanzania. Everyone is helpful, accommodating, and warm. Tumaini, the manager, Yohane, the porter, and everyone else have made this a marvelous stay. I asked where I could find medicine, Yohane said he's get it for me. I needed some fabric quickly sewn while sick, someone did it for me. There are a lot of business people here but that's not the only customer base this hotel is equipped to serve. They've made my partner and my stay in Dar unforgettable. And it's also in a great location, walking distance to the Askari monument, Kariakoo, and my favorite bookshop -- the Tanzanian Publishing House. 5-stars and even better when you consider the great value!!! Thanks everyone!!!

The Hotel is located away from city centre on the side of Airport. I enjoyed two nights there. One night en-route to Kigoma and the other en-route to Nairobi both in June 2019. The hotel has very good services with good staff. Reception was very friendly with Magdelena doing great at her desk handling all my needs. Checking in was very fast, simple and friendly. The porters, Ben and Emmanuel, very humble and friendly. I had dinner at Mumbai restaurant, nice services there too. I plan to spend my nights there on my next visit to Dar es Salaam. David
Room tip: Choose rooms on the southern side if you want a quieter moments

This hotel has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in East Africa. My family spent two nights here in transit to Kigoma. We arrived late at night and in the morning realized we were missing one of our carry on bags. Sadly, this bag contained a new camera and other high end electronics. We asked to speak with the manager and he assured us that the bag was not taken from our hotel room. We then worked with their head of security to review all of the camera footage to confirm the manager’s assertion. In fact, the bag never came out of the taxi. We were able to get the license plate from the surveillance in order to track down the taxi driver. The hotel then provided us with one of their security personnel and a driver to take my wife to the airport to recover the bag. This was above and beyond our expectations. The bag had been left behind at customs and was waiting for us. The staff was professional through out and were involved in problem solving every step of the way. They were even gracious when we apologized profusely for thinking it was taken during our time in their care. Furthermore, the porter Johanes was especially helpful. In addition to caring for our luggage, he helped us find refrigerator space for our daughter’s gluten and sugar free items that we had spent hours preparing for this trip. Lastly, I asked him where I could dump some of the leftover food from the airplane ride from my daughters’ lunch boxes and he proceeded to remove the food items and then wash the lunchboxes and all of the individual containers within. Again, going well beyond my expectations.
