I spent 4 days here and loved the place due to its staff, ambiance and location. The rates are also reasonable enough for the level of service provided. They have a small but nice swimming pool and a well equipped gym too. The food is probably where they need to improve on...the buffet are not that great!

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms next to the stairs, they make a lot of noise when people are going up and down the same.

I would recommend this hotel for several reasons. Firstly, the internet access via WIFI was excellent and it is free!; The room had a fan as well as an aircon which ensured a pleasant temperature in the room. The room was clean and tidy and housekeeping ensured that everything was in the right place. Overall, I found the staff very friendly and helpful in terms of directions and assistance with taxis etc. The room service was good and the quality of the food was satisfactory. Prices were highly competitive and good value for money. Perhaps the only downside is that the hotel does need a fresh coat of paint. Also, I would suggest that the exterior is renovated and perhaps some refurbishment to the common areas.

Room Tip: Request a room on the 3rd floor as these appear to be the most spacious.

WIFI excellent; airconditioning very effective; rooms clean, tidy and comfortable; very usable swimming pool (even though small - I did laps!); dependable taxis (ask for John Mbuya); friendly and helpful staff; food reasonable; good breakfasts. The safe in the room is handy for laptops etc. Quiet area - hotel also quiet and cosy.

My room unfortunately had only lukewarm water (but not a big issue in Dar!) and the tap had no plug (I used the shower's plug).

Good all round experience that I recommend.

Room Tip: I recommend 2/3 floor rooms - quiet, nice view

Excellent hotel in a good location, in the city with good access to meeting locations. Friendly, helpful staff, wifi in all rooms, good restaurant, change money, accepts credit cards, taxis out front, very quiet, good place to meet people - lots of quiet corners to talk. Low rise, 2-storey, English courtyard style. Everything you need on a business trip, an oasis.

However, there are some pretty nice hotels nearby on the coast ..........

Room Tip: Some rooms are brighter than others.
