Shafina from Waterbuck Safaris has helped us organize two different safaris to Selous. Her company has provided us with excellent customer service, despite a 5,000 km distance and a 7 hour time difference. She arranged everything from our stay in Dar (The Slipway) to our safari in Selous, and all transportation in between. She handled countless questions, and responded to emails in a timely manner.
I highly recommend Waterbuck Safaris!

“Grade Four Mikumi Field Trip May 2013”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Planning and organizing an over night trip for 80 plus kids is not an easy task. It’s is a big challenge to convince parents of 9 to 10 years old about the safety of their kids. It really took proper planning and organizing from food to buses accommodation guides and many more things. I shared my proposal and the purpose of the trip with Gulzar and Nurez from Water Buck Safari. They gave many suggestions to make this trip a memorable one for one and all.

They came to attend some of our planning meetings with the grade teachers and were present even when we meet with the parents to clarify the questions raised by them.
The buses provided by them were good and quite comfortable. The guide explained about different animals and their importance in an ecosystem. The accommodation and their services and the food provided were also well taken care of. Our first group had few hiccups with the hotel management but Gulzar promptly (at 6am) helped to solve the problem.
All the grade four teachers and the parents were quite happy with the way things were managed by the Water Buck Staff. We really appreciate all the time and efforts given by them to make our trip a great success.
Looking forward to work with them in future too.

selous trip was organised by Waterbuck Safari, Ms. Shafina has been very helpful and organised the whole trip, the trip was great we managed to see lots of crocodiles and hippos in Rufiji river and all other animals the highlight of the trip was to see 6 female lions and 2 male lions it was truly spectacular.

we had two incidents our car got spoilt in the middle of the jungle and we got stuck while helping other car, that took alot of our time this was disappointing part of the trip.

Also, In the evening we had a pleasant suprise from herd if elephants who came to out camp right outside the main restaurant and a hippo.

all in all it was a great trip

“Bagamoyo Day Trip”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

We made a last minute choice to schedule a day trip to Bagamoyo, and Waterbuck Safaris was able to accommodate us! Our guide was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the town as he showed us around after we toured the German Fort, and all of us on the trip said that Jfour's tour of the town was the best part of the trip!. The fort was over priced and poorly restored, we were told it would cost 5,000 Tsh, but instead the prices were recently raised to 20,000 Tsh. The same happened at the Catholic Church and Missionary Museum.

I'm rating this day trip as Excellent because we had such a wonderful time touring the town with our Guide, Jfour, who was flexible enough to work with us when we declined to pay the raised prices at the museum.

“A Great Experience”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

My wife and I took a trip to Bagamoyo outside of Dar with Waterbuck. We didn't know what to expect but from the beginning this was a great company to work with. Their store front was difficult for our driver to find, but once we were there I was impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the owner. We went to Bagamoyo with our driver named Jayfour and the owner's brother Akbar. The fort that we went to see is not worth the 20k shilling entrance fee and I would avoid it. The town however was fantastic and our guide did a superb job of showing us around even getting my wife (who is a teacher) to go into a school and talk to the children. I cannot recommend this group more, they were safe, well priced, and wonderful to work with.
