Mbalamwezi Beach Club

the music by the beach is just awesome, the table layouts are just perfectly spaced, affordable food, and friendly staff. too much beer might just get u swimming the liquor away with the crabs.

Amazing place to dance- feet in the sand, watching the waves roll in under the stars. The music and crowd can be hit or miss, but we almost always had a good time.

Ordering food can be a trying experience. The food always takes an hour or more. They often run out of things (as many restaurants in the area do), but they wait an hour or longer after you order to tell you that they don't have what you ordered.
We also had a big issue with the manager once. They had a sign advertising "ladies free before 10" but charged us a cover. When we pointed the sign out, he was very rude and dismissive.
Even so, you can't beat the location and the experience of dining and dancing on the beach!

It is quite difficult to find the club. Once there, it is good local fun though. The food is local dishes, cooked like they do locally - tasty but slightly overcooked and slightly oily and spicy. But nice enough ;-). Service is something you do yourself - go up to the bar and place and fetch orders. The furnishing is based on abondoned dows that are used for bar counters and chairs. It is right on the beach with a good view of the City. At night it PUMPS.

We live just next door so we come here a lot. The setting is great with the tables placed right on the beach. The quality of the food varies a lot, but usually they make pretty average local food, which is more expensive than street food but a lot cheaper than at fancy restaurants. It's great for a beer after work.
