I read the reviews then wondered when I arrived. I was also skeptical about the busy streetside corner. Service as everywhere in Tanzania wasn't fast but I'm becoming accustomed to slowing down for the time taken to freshly cook everything. I was travelling with 3 other friends. 3 of us had the Mamboz special - a mix of beef mishkaki, kebab and chicken sekela and azam (a bread like naan). All the photos you see online exactly capture the atmosphere and food. All the foodmwas delicious but I agree with everyone about the best chicken in Tanzania, even after eating chicken every other day! Tasty, succulent and morish. Highly recommended for good value and down to earth local atmosphere.
