If you ever get a chance, the cave is well worth a visit. I went with a tour guide and we were the only people in there so we managed to have a nice look around and had some great photo opportunities.

We hired a taxi to take us back and forth to these caves and the price was very reasonable.

It is nice drive to the caves and we stopped by cape spartel lighthouse (which is the first light any ship sees when approaching from the Atlantic)

There isn't much to see at the caves other than the map of Africa (which is actually a hole in the cave leading out to the sea from where light pours into the cave). The hole is shaped like a rough reverse map of Africa.

Do not buy anything at the caves cause it is frightfully expensive.

The drive along with the caves is certainly worth the visit.

Nice view from the cave! It was very busy, and there were lots of people trying to sell you everything and anything in the cave........

First of all, it is not Carlsbad Caverns--it is small, kind of cheesy, and the guide who took us through spoke no English but managed to get my traveling companion some excellent photos of himself in various positions around rock openings that he liked. This place is on every group tour of Tangier, as is the camel riding and the viewpoint of the spot where the Med enters the Atlantic which are all very close together. If you accept the touristy nature of all this you can still have fun, and it's better than 45 minutes in a carpet shop.
