“Well hidden treasure with stunning views right next to Grotta Hercules.”
Reviewed April 24, 2008

This hidden treasure built right at the edge of a cliff offers stunning views of the ocean and an incredible beach.

The rooms are spacious with very nice views again. If you want something really special then you have to stay at their Suites built right into the cliff, just don't be noise sensitive if the waves splash all day and night against the wall.

Who ever chose the location for this place has serious taste and should develop it further what they seem to do now.

This is a place for endlessly romantic people who don't need the hustle bustle of a city nearby although Tangier is only 20 minutes away.

I spent the first 3 days of my honeymoon at Le Mirage in Tangier, and at first, we were put into a double room, which was less than average, I was quite shocked really, because I'd heard quite a bit about the hotel. When we talked to the reception, they upgraded us to a honeymoon suite, which was wonderful, the room was really nice, very big, with a huge bathroom, dim lit, quite romantic with a view of the swimming pool.

Oh and the location, I've never been to a hotel with a better one, directly on the beach, which was almost always empty, although it was early August, I believe it's because the King has a palace beside the hotel, so the public has no access to this part of the beach (which is the only beach in all of Morocco that is not open to the public), this was the biggest treat, I hate overcrowded places, and this meant we could swim and sun bathe without anyone annoying us.

As for breakfast, it was nothing special, except for the view of course, which was out of this world. We tended to stay in most of the time when we wern't down in the ocean, it's quite a drive into the city, in the summer it can take upto 2-3 hours just to come back to the hotel, which was a nightmare. I also loved the fact that it was almost empty, maybe 4 families max were by the pool, and 2 on the beach at any time, I can't wait to go back next summer for a few days to relax and forget about everything else!

My husband and I booked a bungalow for one night at Hotel Club Le Mirage, and we wished we could have stayed longer! We arrived by ferry from Spain and had hotel reservations in Rabat the next day, so Tangier was just a place to rest before continuing our journey. It was a wonderful introduction to Morocco.

The hotel overlooks a secluded and pristine beach. The property is just as beautiful as the setting. The tropical landscaping, lovely design details in the bungalows, and the inviting pool tempted us to change our itinerary and stay longer.

My favorite moments: Standing on the edge of the garden enjoying the view of the ocean below, the peaceful atmosphere of the property, the lovely details of the room, especially the beautifully carved doors, and some of the best food in Morocco. I had the chicken sautéed in wine and garlic, and it was fabulous! We enjoyed the bungalow so much we had dinner served in our room. The young man who served us was friendly, courteous, and attentive.

Hotel Club Le Mirage gives you the service, atmosphere, and amenities of a high-end resort but in a charming and relaxed setting. We look forward to going back for a longer stay.

I have just spent a very nice and relaxing week-end in le Mirage located in Cap Spartel about 25 mn from Tangier . Very private. Room and Service nice, people friendly and professionals, very helpful. Free WIFI access. But above all just having a breakfast in front of the Ocean with the very relaxing noise of the waves breaking on the rocks. The Ocean was just a miracle of transparent water ( beautiful blue color) . The water was clear , very clean at a very nice r and refreshing temperature . The walk on the beach memorable ( miles and miles of clean sand , spotless , and no one to disturb you; Room comfortable and food OK ( ++ seafood) ,. Not to mention Sunny and just enough wind to cool off the air. I would go back with pleasure.
