Great location on a rocky outcrop overlooking the endless sandy beach of Sidi Kacem. Nice luxurious rooms, especially in the new section, around a nice pool. Very good food and wine, although the quality of some of the waiters doesn't quite match the overall impression.

Room Tip: Get a room in the newly renovated part

We have just returned from a three night stay at Le Mirage. We were given a voucher as a wedding present for two nights, and in fact added on a third night because we loved it so much.

We were lucky to get the most beautiful suite overlooking the sea. It was huge with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a very large sitting room with 2 separate seating areas. It also had a beautiful balcony where we could sit overlooking the beach. As we had our 4 month old baby with us, the suite couldn't have been better as we could put her to bed and still sit up without having to stay in silence.

The breakfast was really nice. The restaurant also has stunning views overlooking the sea. There was a continental breakfast but with the option of adding extras such as eggs, fruit etc. The coffee was excellent!

The staff were very nice and friendly throughout the hotel.

Without doubt the best bit of Le Mirage is the setting. The beach is actually 45km long (so a guide at the neighbouring cave of Hercules told us). You can walk down onto the beach and then wander along it. The hotel itself has two pools, not heated (as tends to be the norm in Morocco in my experience) but as the weather was warm when we were there that wasn't a problem.

I can't wait to go and stay at Le Mirage again - and told my husband we should make it an annual trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

Room Tip: Suites overlooking the sea are undoubtedly the best if you can get one.

We stayed here in an exquisite multi-suite room overlooking the ocean during the new years holidays. Spacious, luxurious, worth the price. Staff service is hit or miss, dining room is tasty but the slowest service ever. Also, they made a reservation for dinner and when we went the restaurant wasn't open for another hour. Stay here, eat elsewhere! Also, lock your door - we had someone try to enter in the middle of the night.

Room Tip: Anything overlooking the ocean (some are by the pool).

I am a hotel executive and a world traveler. This hotel has a nice location, feel and grounds but the service and product is from hell.My experience there in June this year is the rooms are dirty, no hot water, mini fridge did not work, very noisy AC and non functioning, old furniture that make noise when you turn in bed, sagging mattress and lighting is bad. Breakfast room was infested with Bees from a hive around the corner from the hotel according to the staff. The service level is non existent. Arrogant staff in the reception, restaurant. They seem to me angry at the management/ ownership and they take it out on the guests of the hotel. I called many times to tell them about my room but no help. At check out I complained to the very rude receptionist and she seemed disinterested and told me the owner does not care and many customers complain...

Room Tip: Please camp out and never sleep there...

I am currently staying at The Mirage with my parents and even though the hotel is amazing, we are every day treated worse by the staff. The place is quiet and heavenly, so relaxing. You are 5 mins walk from grotte d Hercules and from the beach (one part is only available for resident of Le Mirage as it is the Kings beach, next to his palace), with beautiful clean waters and spotless sand. The garden is lovely and very well appointed, gardeners tend to it all day.

Cable internet or good wifi in rooms and in the garden.
very good cleaning and the cleaning ladies are very friendly.

The s...y service becomes unbearable after a few days. They will never get out of their way to help and will speak to you like crap constantly. For the price paid, you would expect a bit more concern. The worst is at the restaurant. The waiter yesterday literally barked at us when we sat at the wrong table.there were only 2 ppl sitting outside the restaurant...then another one asked us why we sat at a table for 5 ppl when we were only 3. At this point I was quite pissed off and said that the other guy told us so. they constantly forget items on the table (napkins are the worst) and they are pissed off when you ask for it. Most of the staff speak little or no french (forget about english or spanish straight away), which is not normal in a 5 star hotel. The food is excellent every time though, try the duck in gerkins and pepper sauce, the fish tajine or the appetizers plate. For dessert, ice cream coupe mokaramel with the fresh meringue.
Breakfast is ordinary with limited choice(no buffet) and ,if you eat i at the restaurant, it is full of wasps which dive in your food and its disgusting . The staff one more time couldn't care less about it. it therefore forces you to have breakfast in your room, with majoration of 40 dirham...

The rooms are appointed in bungalow style ,with small terrace and table/chairs, which is very nice to chill at night or during the day if you want some privacy but still stay outside. The rooms are HUGE, with separation between living room and bedroom. air co working really well. Very nice bathrooms with bath/ shower but the free toiletries are not good quality. The pillows are too rough for me but the beds are very comfy. Lots of international channels (bbc, ITV,CNN, France 2 et 3...)The door to my bungalow is jammed so its a pain every time to close it.

overall it could easily be 5 stars if the staff wasn't that detestable. but,as my mum phrases it, it is full all the time so they don't give a toss.

Room Tip: They opened a new aisle with another swimming pool and suites/ rooms with sea view. They cost the sa...
