The most important and old historical site in the city, this was the first defense on the city and the border of it. There are great views on the sea, cafes...

El Kasbah is the old part of the city in Tangier. Very authentic part that everyone should visit.

Shopping there is expensive for foreigners, so bargain is a must and fun at the same time.

Shop owners will not be putting alot of pressure if you refuse to buy.

Alot of good places to eat, and dirnk coffee or tea.

Alot of poor people so if you start giving out money from the start of the visit, be prepared to give alot )) In general the people show gratitude to whatever you give them.

Good place to meet other tourists. I met 3 girls from spain and spent the rest of the day with them.

When in the Casbah you are transported back in time. Get a good guide like Aziz Begdouri and ask to be taken to all the interesting places in the Casbah like the market, a tea place, overlooks, an old synagog and other sites; just be ready to climb up and down as much of the Casbah is on a large hill.

Interesting buildings and streets, fun to wander through winding alleys. Not so much fun being part of a tour group though.

The food, smell of spices lets you feel like a Moroccan for a day. Try the fresh sea food, buy some herbal spices and creams, and most certainly barter for a traditional silk handmade carpet. After all you only live once and Tangier has a unique culture!
