“Had a fantastic 24 hours in Tangier!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013

We flew from Barcelona to Tangier and booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were NOT disappointed. The whole hotel is very spacious, including the rooms. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. The hotel recommended a private tour guide and if you want an unforgettable experience call Charif at 00212661559730. The tour was more than 5 hours in length at a very reasonable price. We were a private group of 4 and were picked up by a large van at the hotel. Charif was the guide who spoke excellent english and a younger man was the driver. Among other things we saw a cave, mosque and private estate, took a camel ride and spent a couple of hours walking and shopping in the Bazaar. Amazing!!! You won't be disappointed and Charif will take you to places you would never go to or be able to see on your own. Our stay in the hotel was great and staff were friendly, especially the older gentleman working in the lounge who was unbelievably nice and very attentive. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and hiring a private tour guide if you go to Tangier. We took the high speed ferry back to Spain. If you get motion sickness don't forget to take medication for it before you leave.

My wife and I just arrive to morocco for the first time, we travel on a budget but today we decided to treat our self and we decided in this hotel that is normally double of what we pay. We exchange money at the front desk (we know that is not the best rate, but is is midnight) and despite to have the exchange rate visible, they cheat us in 10 Dirham (it is nothing, a 1 usd) BUT it is the concep that mathers, all this good hotel, but at the end if you can not be honest,... You will better go to mama and papa hotel than this hotel, we never have a problem that like this and we have visited 1000's of hotels

Dear Plata,

Thank you for your insistent feedback. I would like to take this chance to comment on your point : i am very sorry to hear that you are still not agrée with the local bank currency rate, you don't need to compare with the outside exchange offices, where this was the case.
We are looking forward to welcoming you again soon to the Husa Solazur.
Warm regards

Srayed at the Husa Solazur for one night last week whilst on a business trip. Do not expect a 4 star standards as it is not. It is more like a 3 star but with acceptable facilities. My room (facing the sea) was rather small at approx 28 sqm but was cleaned and offered free Wi fi. The TV featured a long list of TV channels including many foreign programmes. The main restaurant where breakfast is served is on the ground floor. The buffet (only option) is poorly laid out with items presented in an odd order. Service was fine. Overall a good option but do not expect luxury.

This hotel is a large facility, part of a Spanish hospitality group. When Malcolm Forbes had his famed birthday festivities, this apparently was the hotel where many of the guests were put up. But that was a different era and a long time ago!

The hotel is more akin to a hospitality factory with little by way of warmth or a soul. It is located right on the beach, but it would seem few actually use the beach, so perhaps not the amenity one would hope for. The rooms are very average sized - you won't trip over yourself, but be aware if you are traveling with much luggage. Housekeeping is very stingy on towels - even gratuities in advance did little to resolve that issue. It appeared the hotel might have been short on linens, and towels were replenished late in the afternoon, on a follow up visit from housekeeping. I preferred to use my own soap as the hotel offering was meager.

The breakfast buffet was quite generous, with plenty to choose from. The breakfast room overlooked the outdoor pool, lending a light-filled airy setting. The breakfast staffing was a well run operation, with wait staff hustling to clear tables. This part of the hotel was a nice surprise.

The hotel is not very far from Old Tangier and the Casbah - enjoy the walk and take in the spirit of Tangier along the way. Taxis are available, but they tend to be the Grand Taxis, slightly pricier than the blue Petit Taxis.

My visit to this hotel was adequate. Didn't hate it, but was not a place that lent itself to warm memories either!

I am surprised at some of the comments posted concerning customer service. The service starts from the top down. The F&B manager Khalil Zaraizak introduced himself at the pool and sent over mint tea and sweets. I saw him many times inspecting the poolside area and talking with staff! Let's move on to the reception service.Ahmed was most helpful durning our three day stay.He arranged a private tour with the most knowageable, interesting guide from Tangier Travel,Ahmed Taoumi. The Hotel deals only with that agency. This tour was very reasonable and well done He suggested a great Morrocan resturant in the Kasbah area. called Restaurant Kasbah! great food @ a reasonable price in a great location and very clean.. I loved coming back to the hotel after sightseeing. Our room was comfortable, clean and roomservice was prompt @ courteous. One night there was a wedding, and outside the Hotel the wedding party was making some noise, all we did was to close the window. No problem The seaside view is wonderful, and I would never give that up. The hotel has Arabic music in one of the restaurants and if that is not to your liking, they had a great couple singing in their Bar area. They performed a wide range of songs from any era. Great!!! I would go back to this hotel in a heart beat. Location, service and GREAT VALUE

Room Tip: Close your windows if noise bothers you ,the seaview is worth it!!!The beach after 4pm comes alive w...

I suppose based on the other hotel in Tanger that this one ranks high. However, I was not impressed one bit. The beds were not that comfortable. Although the room was very clean. The shower head was hand held and the drainage in shower/bath sink was very slow causing a back up. The good thing I will say about this hotel was being situated right across the street from the beach. Breakfast @ the hotel is also very very good! The staff wasn't as friendly as I'm used to either and check in took a lot longer than expected. If you plan to see the city, you must hire a tour guide to leave with some appreciation. I have no plans to recommend this hotel:(

Good standard hotel and very reasonably priced. Would not describe as luxurious but is clean and has everything you may need. Nice pool and adequate fitness room. There are a number of restaurants within the hotel though they appeared very quiet on the nights we stayed so we chose not to dine in them as atmosphere was lacking. However staff were more than happy to flag us down a petit taxi which will take you anywhere in the city for about 10 dirhams. We dined in art et gourmet and a little Italian called Anna et Paola both of which I can recommend. Also if you fancy something plain try the cafe to the right of the hotel...they do good sandwiches and omelettes. Finally I would recommend a room facing the back as although the view is not great at all (some kind of unfinished building site I think) it is much quieter than the rooms with sea views as they face on to the promenade which comes alive at night with rows of nightclubs!

Room Tip: Chose a room at the back
