Horrible stay! Gloomy and dirty rooms, poor breakfast, incompetent staff, a problem with the reservation, and no one to apologize! A five star hotel?? it does'nt deserve even one! I'm happy to see that I am not the only one to have a rant...

We booked a block of rooms at the hotel for a very close friend's wedding. The hotel simply gave away half of our rooms (which were booked three months before the event, which is considered very early in Morocco). They even gave away the bridal room and the married couple ended up sleeping in a standard gloomy room. We were sent to another hotel but they ended up not having enough rooms either. Andalucia hotel was only a short walk away from the wedding venue while the new hotel was far and we ran into a lot of traffic driving back and forth. Most of the guests ended up arriving 2 hours late to the wedding because of all the wait in both hotels. Last but not least, we didn't hear a single "sorry", nor were given any refreshments while waiting, until we started raising our voices... I ended up visiting one of the rooms in Andalucia, which I inspected (I have a good amount of experience in both housekeeping and guest services) and my rating speaks for itself.

This hotel was booked by a friend (who stayed here too) for the rate, which includes breakfast buffet, which was fine, and newness of the hotel. We stayed 2 nights. It is evident that staff needs additional training, particularly the housekeeping staff. My wife and I would get, for example, one towel, not two. Though not an old hotel, maintenance and upkeep seem to be lacking for a supposed 5 star hotel. Because there were 6 of us, we needed 2 taxis to get to and from the main part of town. Not always easy even when the hotel called for one. And coming back, we had to wait 45 minutes for one in the Kasbah. If you don't speak Arabic or French (or are on a tour or have a guide), getting around by taxi can be a problem.

After spending our 2nd year here in this nice hotel, we left with a bad taste in our mouths. When checking out, we were given a large tax bill, about 14 euros. We weren't given this last year. the reception blamed the travel company " Destinia " who gave us a good deal, but didn't pay the taxes so we're led to beleive. Yes 14 euros doesn't seem all that much, but in Morroco its a fortune.
I have to agree with the other comments made regarding the bathroom, a shower curtain would'nt hurt, because after taking a shower, theres water everywhere. not very safe.

Room Tip: ask for a room above the pool.
