Review of Bert's Rabat

Bert's is a franchise of the brand in Paris - you will also find Berts in several places in Paris as well as Orly for example - they also have a new café in Marrakech. The product in Rabat follows those in France and, in comparison to most local cafés, you must pay for your compsumption at the food counter before taking your purchases to your table. There is no waiter service apart from clearing tables. There is free WiFi connection and the café is frequented by all ages, especially the young in the evenings - a bit of a trendy place to meet and to be seen. The customer filter is based on the prices and is probably the most expensive coffee shop in the area. There is a good selection of sandwiches and cake-pastries and the café is open all day until late evening.

The down side is that if you are a non-smoker, it can be annoying because the interior can get quite "thick" in the evenings. The terrace is nice but of course, only in summer.

As a last positive note, Bert's is open all day during the month of Ramadan.

The café is mainly self-service with a good deal of pre-packaged food items. Young Rabatois love it because other Young Rabatois are there - but that's about the only thing to recommend it by other that that it is conveniently located if you are on a shopping trip.

This is the only place I know opened during ramadhan for breakfast. Thanks a lot to save my weekend during ramadhan coz I like to have breakfast not at home on weekend.

I came back again for break fast(means dinner for me) but the sandwich wasnt good and overprice. The package for breakfast also not as much as other restaurant. So for coffee this place is okay.

I was in Rabat on business during the month of Ramadan and this was the ONLY place open during the day. Interesting choice of menu items (for breakfast, lunch and snacks), good quality food, nice, friendly staff. It's a cafe, so nothing fancy, nice place to chill out with friends, colleagues or your computer.
