The Hotel Rabat was a very nice hotel with great amenities. Clean, easy to find, luxurious, with a nice bar and restaurant. A great business-oriented hotel.

However, the were a few things that compromised my experience I feel obligated to mention. First, it's in kind of a weird, depressed area. There's a dead shopping mall right next door, and there isn't much in the way of restaurants or other retail merchants nearby other than cafés, phone places, and a bank or two. The tram is just a couple of blocks away though, so it's easy to go wherever you want in the city.

Then, there is a shuttle to the airport that is very nice. It's expensive though; 300 MAD. And, after paying my room in full on Orbitz, I was surprised to hear upon checking out that there was an "arrival tax" of 80 MAD that supposedly needed to be paid. I have never heard of this in any other Moroccan hotel, so this may be bogus.

The Wifi was fast and good but having to log in again with my username and password every time my phone or computer went to sleep was a drag.

Finally, once you turn off the lights at the switch by the door, there's no way to turn any of them on from anywhere else in the room; you can only turn on the TV or stumble back to the door. I say this because at 12:30 AM, someone called me on the room phone, which I couldn't find because it was so dark. When I did, I called the reception desk to find out what was going on, and whoever answered the phone just laughed and told me to hang up. So then I was awake for two more hours wondering about this.

So nice room, nice hotel, nice amenities, but some weird stuff going on. I might go back to the Diwan where I've stayed before.

Might have been once but certainly not a five star hotel now, perhaps nearer two or three would be more accurate. The place is not clean, rooms are musty, curtains don't open, carpets are stained, the toilet didn't work - nor did the safe which wasn't even fixed to anything! Bar staff are ok but at reception nobody cares a damn. They organised a car to pick us up at the airport which at 50$ turned out to cost more than twice the perfectly good white taxis, then the driver insisted that, since there were two of us, it would be $100. An argument about overcharging on the final hotel bill just creamed off a stay at this place. Vastly overpriced for what it is.

Room Tip: Go elsewhere.

The service is not existing, staff unfriendly, unhelpful. Breakfast a joke for a 5* Hotel, plastic chairs, tables randomly placed and no place settings. Aweful place! Room stuffy. Do not eat dinner in hotel. Its near nothing. You can do so much better elsewhere!

I stayed here while on a business trip and it was the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in! A/C didn't work, front door lock was broken, refrigerator was broken, the room was dirty, the fixtures rusted, the service (or lack thereof) was even worse, no clock or coffee in the room, the TV didn't work, and one night they had an extremely loud party downstairs (where ALL the rooms could hear it) until after 3:00am! If you want to stay in beautiful Rabat Morocco...I was thankfully moved to the Tour Hassan nearby and it was PERFECT all the way around!

Room Tip: Don't even bother checking in. Go around the corner to the Tour Hassan and get a truly 4-5 star...

We stayed in this hotel for one night as part of a tour in Morocco. The bed sheets were made but were not changed. When I sat on one of the two very ordinary chairs in the room I nearly fell on the floor, the chair was broken. The room was on the second floor and the windows were about 4 meters away from a main road and on the same level. The food was average.

I was there for a business trip and I had too many complaints from my customers. The rooms were too old, dark and look dirty. Most of teh room keys were not working. Hotel staff doesn't speak English. The banquet manager works with flip flops.. Breakfast was too bad. We organized an exhişbition at the ballroom at the second floor but the elevator was not workşng. So all our guests had to use the back door. The only good thing about the hotel: The singer at the Irish Pub was so good.

Bad service, bad rooms, and bad cleaning compared to its ranking, the receptionist was a gentlman and same for concierge but when u need something from room service like cup of thé for exemple nobody answer and u ask for it from the reception directly but when the thé came its soo cold that u wont even drink it
