“You can not go inside”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

You can not enter any of the Royal Palaces and get to see them only from outside. Therefore although interesting, if you do not have the time, it can be skipped.

“Disapointing”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

As one is never actually allowed into the palaces in Morocco, all the gates beging to look the same. You have to exercise caution not to photograph people in uniform and as there are guards at most of the gates, this can be problematic.

“Worth the time”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

Interesting and beautiful palace compound, but much of it isn't open to the public. Rabat in general is so very different from Casablanca and Marrakech - quieter and cleaner, befitting the capital city of the country.

“Just ok”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

It doesn't take long to see, so worth the trip. Don't set your expectations too high. You cannot enter the Palace and many times you cannot enter the gates. We were with a tour group so were able to do so. It is really a Palace complex filled with buildings to manage the government.

“Long Walk to See the Palace Gates”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Big palace, nice gates, a long walk, a few photos, old cannons, that's it. I would say not to bother with this sight unless you would like to take a stroll through a nice, clean area with allot of pavement. In the heat it can be oppressive.
