“Truly spectacular”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

A visit to the mausoleum of Mohammad V is a must. It is an architectural masterpiece and the tilework is outstanding. I was surprised to be able to enter the mausoleum itself which is guarded on all sides, inside and out, by berber guards who are not averse to tourists taking pictures. The square outside the mausoleum is beautiful and overlooks the Hassan tower and the minaret of its mosque. An impressive site which I feel should rank #1 in Rabat, after the Kasbah.

The mausoleum is a true masterpiece. I stayed inside for about 30 minutes just admiring the tile work in the building.

“Worthwhile a Visit”
Reviewed May 20, 2014 via mobile

The Mausoleum of Mohammad V is a worthwhile stopover for a visit if time permit. The whole visit may last not more than 30-45 minutes. Since there are certain photo restriction inside the mausoleum, therefore the crowd move through the interior rather rapidly. Mohammad V is considered the greatest king of Morocco hence his mausoleum is highly respected by the Moroccan. As a tourist the same sentiment is not there to appreciate his contribution to Morocco.

“Impressive”

Impressive mausoleum - wonderful cedar wood ceiling. A celebration of Moroccan craftsmanship. Wouldn't like to be on of the Berber guards with all the tourist taking their photographs stading beside them!

“Pay attention to prayer times and changing of the guard”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

Very beautiful interior. There is a man on the inside reciting Koran verses which adds to the atmosphere. Outside is attractive. Enjoyed seeing the changing of the guards stationed at the mausoleum as well as the horse guards outside. Mausoleum closes during to rayed times, so time your visit accordingly.
