This was a very pleasant surprise....docked in front of the Rabat Casbah, this ship was built in India and shipped to Rabat. There is a lounge bar on the deck, a cigar bar downstairs and a very decent european restaurant in the back. The interior is all wood and very homely. Staff are friendly, prices are European.

It is too bad that such a beautiful place is not up to what it looks like. The place is exceptional for both the view and the boat... But it stops there. Service performed by young servers (even smiling) is awkward and very slow. And although orders are taken electronically, this does not prevent two people at our table to get something different than ordered. As for the food, nothing extraordinary for the price: cold dishes and not really tasty... fortunately the Moroccan wine was great!

And reading the management responses to the negative reviews on this website, we understand why things are as they are: customers are always wrong!

The boat itself is lovely, but that's about it! The food is not prepared on the boat and brought in and the pricing is way over the top. We paid 10 euro for 1 can of sprite!!!! The drinks menu stated one price and the bill was double that. We were never told by any staff that it's double fee if the football is showing. So the bill was a huge surprise. They should tell the customers upon seating that when football is on they overcharge, also if your a non smoker- avoid ! This place is filled with smoke with no ventilation! Never again.

Le Dhow has a fantastic gimmick - it's on a boat in the Rabat Harbor and is beautiful for sunset cocktails on the deck. There's a bar below (haven't been) that has themed parties. This is primarily about the restaurant. Of three visits one was great, one was so-so and one was pretty lackluster. If the first time had not been so fantastic, I would have given Le Dhow 1 or 2 stars.

The Good: The first visit was a great time - sunset cocktails on the deck followed by a delicious dinner, wine and dessert - a birthday cake the chef made and baked while we ate. Fantastic! The Not So Bad: The second time was so-so. Food wasn't as good, but not bad. Nothing to mention either way, really. The kind of Ugly: the third time the food was not good. I ordered a filet and got an inferior cut of meat (top round, maybe?) that was thin, way overcooked and covered in butter. French onion soup was good, but way too salty (too much beef bullion?) and the service wasn't fantastic - particularly given the prices at Le Dhow. The waitstaff was decked out in fluorescent 1980's gear for the 80's-themed party at the bar below decks and it was clear that they preferred to be there. At one point I had to get up and go find the waiter for more water.
