Simon and Mouna greeted us as if we were at home. Simon gave us a map of the area and drew out a customized itinerary of the highlights that fit our short available time. The town itself is stunning especially as we hit the main square (snake charmers and other tourist attractions) on a Sunday afternoon. The Riad is neat and clean and is beautifully furnished with most pieces having been custom made for Simon and Mouna. There was some street noise as the Riad is located at the city wall but it was not a problem sleeping. There are rooms on the "quieter side". Breakfast on the terrace was fun even in March. Thanks for everything.

From the first moment I met Simon and Mouna and entered the front door, it felt like coming home! They have lovingly restored the old riad and invite you into their lives with such warmth and hospitality that you may never want to leave. Mouna was raised in the medina, so has such a wealth of stories about the community and its history. Each of the rooms is decorated with such respect for the local arts and crafts, and the lives of all the artisans. The meals are home cooked with great love and attention, with the freshest and best local ingredients from Mouna's family recipes. They are a work of art in themselves. I stayed for 4 of my most relaxing nights of my 5 week stay in Morocco. By far my favourite memories are here. This place is a great find, a true Moroccan treasure.

We spend a night at Riad Lahboul and it was wonderful.Simon was very kind and helpful. The food that Mouna prepared for us was very delicious. Especially there are tools for my son and he really loves them! Strongly recommend! And remember if you call to book a room, you'd better not do it again on Internet!

We spent one night at this beautiful Riad and we loved it!
We were greeted at the door by Simon, our great host, and served some tea and Moroccan biscuits. We had a nice conversation while filing the papers. Simon gave us some tips about the city and where to go/what to visit.
The breakfast was simple but tasty (Fresh bread, Moroccan pastries, marmalade....)
The only thing that we were not very happy about is the smell of the toilet the second day. The Riad had some sewage reparations at the time we were visiting so it might be the reason...
We would love to come back to this fabulous place!

We spent two very enjoyable nights at this Riad, where we were looked after extremely well by Simon and his family and staff. From the moment we arrived, welcomed with the traditional mint tea, we felt at home. We did have some trouble finding the riad, despite trying to follow the instructions Simon had kindly sent us! If arriving on foot we would advise getting to Bab Mansour, opposite the large Place Lahdim, and walking back towards the intersection of Rowamzine Avenue Moulay Ismail and Rue Dar Smen. Here there are signs to the riad, leading you through the medina.
All the rooms are charming, and the roof-top terrace is a delightful place to spend a few hours after you've been out sightseeing. Simon arranged for a private tour to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss and this was excellent - recommended if you have limited time. We ate at the riad both nights as the food was so delicious!
Highly recommended.

A wonderful week in Riad Lahboul, Meknes. The owners Simon and Mouna were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Their beautiful Moroccan Guest house is warm and welcoming. Every room is delightfully designed with beautiful artefacts and paintings - the top terraces just gorgeous for relaxing in the sunshine. The food was just fabulous - the best ever. Freshly cooked traditional cuisine. We loved the city of Meknes and found the atmosphere not pushy from the local vendors but friendly and welcoming. The city of FES is a short train ride away. Worthy of a visit but best to stay in Meknes. First class.

Room Tip: Every room is traditionally designed. No room will disappoint. The location is quiet and near the pr...
