Great and warm welcome;
Rooms tastefully decorated and spotless;
Ideally located on the edge of the old town => easily accessible with a car (parking is only 200m away) while enjoying the charm of the narrow pathways of the old town; and only 2 minutes away from Meknes central place in the old town; grocery store nearby;
Great terrass with a view, ideal to watch the skies at night or take a sunbath in the afternoon;
Our 3 daughters (3, 6 and 7) loved the place, they played football, hide-and-seek, ... with the children of Simon and Mouna and truly had a great time. Couldn't be better !
Mouna and SImon, many thanks for your hospitality !

The riad is impecabley decorated with attention to detail - especially the dining room was beatifully done with high quality textiles.

The riad has a lovely family atmosphere and everybody was really friendly, making us feel welcome and comfortable immediately.

Our room was spacious, great shower and clean, while feeling more like somebody's guest room than an impersonal hotel. A good night's sleep was had.

Good location between the new town and the medina and everything to be reached by foot.

We also did a trip to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss booked through the riad, which was really good and well worth doing. We got a good insight into islam and stories of Meknes from our driver and guide, who really made an effort with us. Much appreciated.

Simon and Mounia are amazing hosts: nothing is too much trouble. They have only been open for two years and it feels a bit amateur.
Quite hard to find as the taxi drivers don't know it and you are accosted by faux guides wanting to carry your bag there.
The double room was too small but the singles were fine.
The evening meal is so good you won't want to eat anywhere else in Meknes

The riad is kept in a typical Maroccan old- style but recently rebuild and modernized with comfortable bath allowances. At night is easy to achive becouse the taxi stops close to the entrance of the riad. But first of all the Simon - the manager is the additional value. And his wife Mouna - is as well a treasure. I really recommend to choose that riad , especially if you are travelling by yourself. Simon helps to organise a transport to Volubilis, to the rail station and gives you tips what to do in Meknes.

A lovely Riad made better by the service Simon and Mouna gave us. Not only brilliant service, lovely themed room, great bathroom but above all, excellent food. It was Just what we wanted, old Morocco and tradition food beautifully cooked and presented; more than we could eat.
Meknes is well worth the visit-plenty to see and do. The souk is fantastic and made others we visited in other towns look like real tourist traps.
Simon and Mouna helped us plan our days to make sure we saw all the best bits and the parts we wanted to see.
They do Cookery and wine Tasting Courses and we will go back to do them as we didn't have time to stay on.

We would absolutely recommend this Riad. The owners are very friendly and also interested in yourself as person. So you can have nice conversation with them about Morocco and many other things. They will give you also hints about what to see in the surroundings which was very helpful. The Riad is beautifully restored with many little details. The rooms are full of traditional Moroccan things and very comfortable. So you will recognize every moment that they love their Riad, Morocco and to be hosts. As we went by the end of December there, the room was a little freezing, so do not forget to put the heater on.

Riad Lahboul is a fantastic place to stay. The hosts are very friendly and they ensure you feel at home. I do not travel on my own that often but I had a lovely time nevertheless. I had a cookery lesson with Manou which was fabulous.She shared her knowledge about the local culture which was very interesting. The visit to the local bakery was super.
If you plan to visit Meknes, this is a wonderful place to stay. Don't forget to visit Volubilis - an archaeological site situated near Meknes. Volubilis features the best preserved Roman ruins. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site.
