“Glitzy watering hole for expats”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

Extensive menu with high quality selections for both continental and Moroccan tastes. Superb service at a reasonable price -- worth the visit for a 'night on the town' feel, without European prices. A bit hard to find on your own.

“The summary of Marrakech”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

The food was very nice. But this is a big recommendation because of the experience.
It's a lovely restaurant in a typical Moroccan style. If you have the chance, try to reserve a spot on the roof. If not, then you can still enjoy the beautiful decoration inside. Don't worry about arriving too early, because it's very nice to have a drink ahead and it gives you a chance to take a good look at the place.
Closed on Monday! Please remember because we wanted to go on a Monday first!

“Tourist trap, bad service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

The waitress was incredibly surly and barely raised a smile the whole meal, she was borderline so rude we nearly asked for someone else
Food was ok but we got one mini portion of cous cous between two and the waitress grouchily gave us a second when asked
Location is nice on terrace but don't expect to see a local at all

“most excellent restaurant of Marrakech”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

The Foundouk is situated in the northern part of the Medina in Marrakech. You have to go there by taxi as the area is not too save at night. But the reataurant is great! You have to reserve a table on the roof, but also the bar and the restaurant inside are cool and very nice. The food is Marrocan or international - a very good mixture. I can recommend the Tajina Marrakech which is lamb in a tagine in a lemon sauce which was very tasty and nice. They have good desserts and coffee (Illy) as well.
