This hotel is situated opposite a petrol station and cafe so is ideal for buying snacks/water etc but it is also by the junction/roundabout and is busy. I was sleeping at the back of the hotel so its was okay, my friend slept at the front with ear plugs. This is situated towards the end of Mohammed V ave and junction of Mohammed V1 and is too far to walk to the Medina or Jemma El and taxis vary in cost dependent on the time of day from 20dh to 50dh too expensive, buses are great and cost under 4dh. Its a small and friendly hotel and the staff are helpful but the breakfast is boring and aimed at French tourists, The food in Morroca is great, especially the local cafes' so I cant understand why the breakfast is the same every day.
The hotel is very clean, lovely white clean towels every day, there is a hamam and a free body scrub was on the menu at the time, an experience and if you have been to Turkey and to the Turkish baths then you will be okay, my friend declined. The massage was at an extra cost but wonderful, although interruptions stemed the flow of relaxation.
If you don't mind be away from the hubbub of the Medina then this is a medium clean hotel to stay.

We are a couple from Chicago. We have traveled to many places around; but we never experienced the lowest level of stupidity and shame in a hospitality establishment until our visit to Mont Gueliz Hotel in April 2008. Our visit to this hotel became a nightmare thanks to a male receptionist by name Khalid Abir who brought disgrace to himself, his hotel, and his country. We had one room for a double (my wife and me) and one room for a single (my brother). But when we came to check in, the filthy person said that we were going to have a threesome or something like that. We could not believe our ears, and even though we proved to him that the other guy is my brother. He kept insisting on that, driving my wife and my brother to have tears in their eyes. His co-worker could not believe it either, but he could not do anything. When he called one of his two bosses to get advice, his boss screamed at him on the phone for calling late and hanged up. All hotels were full, and it was too late in the night, so we sent my brother to sleep in the car. Between this guy and the hotel being too ugly/noisy, we didn’t even want to take shower; just waited for 7AM to come and leave this hotel. For a moment, this guy succeeded making us hate Morocco and hate Moroccans. In the morning, we found him having ugly confrontation with some Europeans. People who are thinking to stay at Mont Gueliz should think twice about the type of human being is going to serve them. You’d rather sleep in a car and not sleep at this hotel.
