This trip is a must-do. Omar was our chauffeur and the van was very comfortable with AC. we stopped for photos, lunch and snacks along the way. He pointed out many interesting things. We were safe and well taken care of.

We arrived at the desert meeting point and then took the excursion by camel to the camp. Our guide for this portion at the camp was Mohammad. He was a kind man and took many photos of us along the way. He ensured we had a good tent, lots of food.

Back to Omar for the drive home. It's a long drive but Omar pointed out many things to do.

Next time, the only thing I would change is not going to the Atlas movie studio. It was expensive and not included and not worth it.

We spent two wonderful days with Abdou our tour guide and driver. Abdou was extremly friendly and funny. You could feel his pleasure to explain to us all kind of things about Marroco, Beber, nature, culture, food and many things more. He knows a lot and if he does not know something he looks for informations and other people. He explains very well. His french is perfect. He took time to show us things and we made many stops.

Nevertheless there were some downsides. First he organized us a guided tour to an old kasbah. We thought the tour was included in the price. As we gave 100 MAD to the guide as a tip, he told us that the tour cost 200 MAD. Unfortunatly Abdou had never mentioned that the tour would cost something before otherwise we would not have done it as it was clearly too hot for that. Luckily Abdou talked to the tour guide and achieved that he was satisfied with 100 MAD.
Second: we had two lunch breaks. After the first restaurant some of our group got sick. We learnt later that people from other groups got sick as well. In addition, the restaurant was expensive and the food did not taste good. After this expierence we said to Abdou that we wanted just a light lunch for the second day. Some salade or whatsoever. He said no problem we just had to 40 min for the restaurant. As we arrived at the restaurant we saw that many other tourist buses were there. The menu did not match with our expectation at all. There were just heavy meals just like the first one. It was obvious that Abdou had to go to this restaurant and could not show any flexibility. That was too bad as it lowered the mood of some people of our group.

Nevertheless, the expierence was great and recommendable. Ask for Abdou and you will not regret it.

I would recommend this trip for a quick escape from the city. The value is great.
The guide and driver were great and friendly.
The guide helped an elderly woman during the day and gave her special assistance.
As mentioned in the itinerary "lunch with a berber family" was in fact a restaurant in a berber village but overall the food was amazing!
Again I would recommend this as a quick escape from the city.
Good job guys and keep up the great hospitable work
