“Charming and quiet in the heart of a busy Medina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2014 via mobile

I had a great time and the hotel was amazing. Great mint tea and food, rooms very comfortable and modern. Stuff extremely nice and after you will learn how to get there via the souk maze you are in little heaven ;)

Friendly people, very nice Riad! Well located. 100% good!
Little room, very confortable. Decoration awsome. Very clean.
The staff is very nice and dedicated. the breakfast is very good, with things from Morroco.
For sure we will come back again!

Enjoyed the time spent in the Riad. Peaceful which was very much needed after a BUSY day out and about. Good standard of breakfast and staff were always happy to help/advise. Stayed in the 'Striped room'... luxury, lovely bath, clean and fresh with air con. BBC news/DVD player available.
Would stay here again!
Would recommend kosybar (alcohol available, nice sunset)
Would not recommend 'Marrakchi' restaurant. Good view but way overpriced and poor service.

The Rhiad was absolutely perfect for us. I booked this place after reading the brilliant reviews for my best friends hen party. The staff at the Rhiad are what make it. Mustafa is incredible! What an absolute gem. He couldn't do enough for us, looked after us in tipsy states and was always available to lend a helping hand. The Rhiad is intimate and beautiful. We were a little worried when we first arrived as it is down a few very dark alleys but once you see the route in daylight you soon get used to your surroundings. You should book this if you want a cultural stay in the old town of Marrakech but as a group of girls wanting to head out at night, bear in mind you will need to cover up with leggings or a sarong for the trip through the Medina. Breakfast was lovely. The cleaners were superb. We were all so impressed by the staff at the Rhiad. They made our stay for us.

Thank you!!! Would highly recommend.

My wife and I had a very pleasant, relaxing stay.

Mustafa was out first point of call when we arrived here later than scheduled. He was very welcoming and polite and exceptionally attentive throughout our stay. Fouzia a very friendly lady, helped organise some excursions and always spoke with a smile. All other staff were lovely too(saeed and the 2 other ladies), always prepared to help and make sure we were happy throughout our stay.

The riad is a peaceful haven away from the busy souks, the decor in the riad is very modern and kept to good level of cleanliness.

We had an amazing stay here and would recommend all to choose this riad.

Hotel staff were exceptional in every way. Sent a driver to meet us ladies at the airport, BUT we arrived on a Saturday evening when the square was at its busiest. Cars cannot get close to the Riad as it is accessed via the souk and narrow alleyways. After 1pm cars cannot even get anywhere near the riad so we were met from the car by a kind but dishevelled old guy with a "cart" who took us and our handluggage through the madness of the square in the dark!! We would never have found the place without him so we tipped him well, but be prepared as the riad has no bright lights or neon signs - no identification from the outside - just a small label above the door bell. Anyway, once inside this zen like sanctuary, we were met by Mustafa with mint tea and an offer to escort us back to the mayhem as we wanted to go out to dinner. Also gave us his mobile number if we wanted him to meet us to come back later. It is tricky to find but we seemed to memorise some landmarks and got back ok. No alcohol served close to the mosque but we did find it in 1 or 2 places. The riad also serves wine/beer and dinner if you pre-order. In general we found alcohol fairly expensive. The riad people kindly arranged a private car and v knowledgeable driver to take us to the Atlas mountains for Euro50 each incl lunch. Would recommend this as we went to Kasbah Tamadot (Richard Bransons secret hideaway), saw some stunning scenery, climbed 2300meters to some waterfalls and visited an Argan oil cooperative. Great value for a good 9 hours trip. Rooms are v clean and modern but beware, toilet etc is rather open plan! Felt safe in the riad. Good nights sleep except that you will hear the "call for prayer" v early morning. Breakfast very nice served on really trendy white crockery. Lovely roof terrace for sunbathing. Nice loungers with some shade. The jacuzzi up there could do with the water changing tough! If you want a taste of the "real" Marrakech I would recommend this place. If you don't like crowds/dark alleys then perhaps stay in the new town!

Room Tip: Noise does echo from other guests. Only about 10 rooms total. Choose upstairsroms for more privacy...

Stayed here for four nights on a weekend break end of Feb/ early March 2014. Very nice inside and staff very helpful. Roof terrace lovely on a sunny day. Appears hard to find at first go but very easy thereafter. Noise travels easy at night in the Riad and on Saturday we were woken up by some noisy guests downstairs, other than that it was a great stay. Marrakech is in itself something of an experience and the villa wenge was an elegant retreat.

Room Tip: The Red Room has twin beds.
