After arriving in Marrakech we had to wait half an hour for the man to pick us up from the airport. We travelled half an hour to get to Dar Tifawine. Upon arrival, the manager of the hotel greeted us in French, we soon found that he and the rest of the staff spoke very little English and our basic GCSE level French was all we had to get through the remaining four days stay. The only other problem that we had was that there were no telephones, internet, visa connection or mobile phone coverage there. Bring cash and tell your family that you are not contactable until you go into Marrakech.
The grounds were beautiful, lush green plants and grass, a wonderful pool, lovely sun beds, some with shades for when the heat got too much. The food was also excellent. We had pastries and coffee with pancakes for breakfast. For lunch we just opted for the first course for a good value 3 euros and in the evening we had a variety of lovely soups, salads, mains etc. including a pousin with dates and lamb tagine with apricots- yum yum.
The rooms were also beautiful.
An all round very relaxing place to stay.
