This tiny store tucked in a corner between the el Fondouk restaurant and the Musee de Photographie is a must for anyone looking for excellent craftsmanship in hand woven scarves and bed linens. Prices are fixed, and the service is gentle and attentive.
A family business now handed down to the sons, who say they learned weaving ``from the moment of birth``.... is a must if you are looking for something made locally and traditionally, and yet beautiful and elegant for any haute couture.
The scarves are all made of natural fibers...silk, wool, cotton,linen...and many of the beautiful, rich colors are naturally dyed.
Ask to see the one of a kind creations...obviously more expensive, but also entirely unique.
I bought a beautiful, very lightweight wool and silk scarf, large enough as a shawl as well....and naturally dyed to a unusual rust color with a waterfall effect. Elegant!
