We stayed here (couple aged 21 and 29) 19th June to 26th June 2014 and agree with majority of reviews - brilliant hotel!

On arrival at around 11pm, welcome packs were waiting for us with room keys etc in them already so no lengthy check in process. They also opened the restaurant for those who wanted it.
The room itself (103) was on the front of the hotel and lovely and quiet. Large comfortable bed, big wardrobe and plenty of draws, the room is not huge but plenty big enough for a holiday. Hair dryer In the room was powerful so no need to take your own. Some people have moaned about the bathrooms not being up to scratch but we had no problem with ours, everything looked new and was finished to a good standard.

There are a few reviews complaining about the staff but I honestly cannot understand what their issue is! Everyone from bar staff to managers to house cleaning were polite and friendly, always asking if you needed anything else etc. People have also bemoaned the lack of English...can only assume they expect them to understand slang etc because everyone's English seemed brilliant, and definitely better than English guests French or Arabic!!
Imad the relations manager was fab, nothing was too much bother and he spent his days going round chatting to guests, asking if there were any problems and giving advice.

There are two pools, one which has water aerobics etc going on once or twice a day and music and another quieter pool. Plenty of sunbeds, no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve one! The hotel is set in gorgeous gardens full of fruit tree etc and there are lots of beds in amongst this too. There are some tortoises in one part of the garden who are really friendly and definitely associate people with food so make sure you take some cucumber or bananas down with you!

The food...as a whole, food was really good! There were different themes every evening but always a small selection of Moroccan food available. For the unadventurous there was the obligatory pizza and chips but can't see why people would bother with this with the huge selection of other things on offer! Most evenings there were cooking stations for desserts or main dishes - definitely worth trying!! Breakfast was what you'd expect, pastries, toast, eggs, freshly cooked omelettes etc.
We visited the Indian restaurant once which wasn't great - the soup and salad were lovely but the main dishes were fairly bland.

The spirits were local, and very large measures! Wines were all fine and beers seemed to go down well with most people.

Location is perfect, 15 minute drive from the airport and a 5 minute walk to the main square and souks! We left the hotel both during the day and at night and felt perfectly safe at all times.

We both used the spa, I for a manicure and my boyfriend had the hamman body scrub and clay mask - both were lovely and fair price.

The only two improvements we could think of would be having a bin in the bedroom (there's one in bathroom already) and having bottled water available at breakfast. Currently they have tea coffee and juice but no water - we just took bottle from the bar in with us! Both such minor things and definitely did not impact our holiday!

All in all, well worth visiting, we would definitely go back!

Went to Medina Gardens hotel 12/6/14-26/6/14, WOW, fantastic hotel in everyway. We were unaware when booking it is a Thomson couples hotel (no children) and the standards are exceptional because of this. They have double four poster beds outside to sunbathe on for comfort. there was never a problem getting a sunbed even at dinner time if you fancied a lie in. Upon arrival at approx. midnight they had staff awaiting our arrival with drinks handed out as you walk through the door, you get to take a seat in the lounge area and they bring you your door keys etc. no queuing up at reception.
The food was superb at every sitting they always have a pasta dish, chicken, turkey or beef dishes, 1 or 2 potato dishes, tagine dishes, chips, they usually had burgers on too, and delicious deserts, plenty of fruit to choose from and 3 choices of ice cream.
Breakfast was also superb with fried eggs freshly made to order, omelettes freshly made to order and you choose what you want on them, crepes and pancakes , sausages, cubed potatos. Just a tip though if you want freshly sqeezed orange juice at breakfast they charge 15 dirhams but you can get this on the main square for 4 dirhams and it is delicious.
The drinks on the all inclusive were superb and plentiful. Whisky, brandy, gin, vodka, beer, the usual stuff, fresh orange juice from the main bar inside, and coke ,diet coke, Fanta lemon and orange, sprite.
The location is superb, 10 minutes walk to the main square Jeema El Fna and the souks, and also if you walk in the opposite direction 20 minutes walk to the new town, with McDonalds, KFC, and shops we would recognise back at home such as H&M.
Some of the excursions that are offered you can do yourself as they are close enough to walk.
We visited Yves Sant Laurent gardens, entrance fee 50 dirhams, Medina gardens no entrance fee, The square Jeema El Fna and the souks, they also offer a horse drawn carriage excursion at 250 dirhams each but if you walk to the main square there are loads of them and can get 1 hour ride for approx. 200 dirhams for the carriage (not each).
We just had a normal bedroom, room 123 on the first floor which did not have a pool view, but was really nice. A tip is if you have a pool view it can be noisy (entertainment and people talking below) until approx. 1am when the last drinks are served.
You can have a room upgrade upon arrival for approx. £25.00 per day and you get an outdoor Jacuzzi, but we did not feel the need.

Just got back from 7 nights at this superb hotel. Lovely setting, beautiful pools and gardens, wonderful food and very helpful, friendly and welcoming staff. Added to this, it's only a 5 minute walk to the Medina & Souks, a 15 minute drive from the airport and no screaming whining children, it's paradise on earth. Will definitely go back as we love Marrakech and loved the hotel even more!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool will be noisier as the pool bar is open till 1am and the evening entertainment happens here.

we went to this hotel from the 16th-26th june, i read the other reviews before i went away and i can say who ever has moaned about this hotel is super fussy! its only 15 min drive from airport and when you arrive they have welcome packs waiting for you so no need to que, you can get towels from the hotels and hair dryer and iron. its an amazing hotel, we stayed in room 110 which wasn't near any other rooms so was nice and quite.
- the staff are so lovely and wait on you hand and foot, there always making sure your ok and will do anything they can for you, if its serving you drinks while you sunbathe and serving you in restaurant, people have moaned about the food but I'm a fussy eater and there was always something for me to eat, was always hot and we always sat down at the table and was served for drink straight away, as people have said they didn't get served and ignored but this wasnt the case for us.

- the pool and outside surroundings are lovely and kept very clean, theres always beds, we got up late and there was still beds to sunbathe on so no need to get up dead early to put towels out.

rooms are lovely always cleaned, and water and wine put in the room swell as tea and coffee.

thompson advisor were helpful, they do lots of trips but one which isn't on their trips list is the water park which is good and only cost about 60 for 2 people.

i would return to this hotel it is so relaxed and all the people that work there are lovely, especialy bar staff, anyone going here has nothing to worry about !!!!

Room Tip: rooms with Jacuzzis and rooms with pool view, 101-110
