A place not easy to find in the night with no map or your device not willing to work. Expect to get harrased by young boys looking for big money in exchange for guidance. My advice is: book a taxi with the condition the driver will take you to the door. Its possible and you wont have to put up with the nuissance. Now, I dont know about the other rooms but ours didnt have a bathroom door so I was quite pleased when we left after 2 nights. The beds were uncomfortable but we had nice breakfast and the guy in charge was very helpful. Interesting place, tastfuly decorated, lovely reception room/yard. If you stay there and get lost, ask a woman about directions but definitely not young boys!

Nice place but not worth the price. Initialy looked cheap but when it came to paying became over 55 euro per night. Rooms are basic but livable in. Breakfast was very good and lots of it. The guy who runs the place is very helpful and friendly and spent time explaining things to us.
Worth saying if you arrive late make sure your taxi driver escorts you to the door or you are likely to be accosted by local youths out to make fast money escorting you the 500 meters from the main road to the riad
Riad is a mile from the main square but pleasnt enough meander.

Have just returned from a week at the lovely Riad Amra and loved it :-) Abdul, Driss and Ayiesha are all wonderful and it feels like you are returning to family when you enter the cool and calm of the riad, after the hectic Jemaa et Fna or the souks, or however you have spent your day. They are always on hand with advice, help or just for a chat and its so welcoming, as is the plunge pool, deliciously cool after the hot hot city. The beautiful roof top terrace is lovely, and for the first part of my stay, I was located on the top floor, and the terrace is like an extension of your room - lovely. I would recommend requesting this room, as it is peaceful and quiet. The rooms on the other floors can be a little noisy, depending how light you sleep, as of course they all face inwards into the courtyard and downstairs. However this was not a major issue and I am a light sleeper.
Breakfast was included and consisted of lovely french bread, honey, jam, croissant, egg or yoghurt on alternate days, and local style pancakes - delicious, and served between 7.30 and 9.30am around a large dining table, with other guests, which is a nice sociable touch, for a small riad - all adds to the friendly vibe at this place. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if returning to Marrakesh.

Room Tip: the room on the top floor is peaceful and quiet with a lovely shaded terrace area right outside the...

Just got back from a week long stay at Riad Amra and what a great place it was. The staff were all very friendly and eager to help in any which way they could. We ate there twice and it was the best food that we had whilst in Marrakech. The room was clean and comfortable and well decorated. Perfect location as only a 10 minute walk from the main square, but just far away enough from the hustle and bustle of the medina for some quiet time. Highly recommended, I would stay there again.

It's so smelly and dirty it's awful said there on the top roof floor was super hot and the shower it's just omg dirty and disgusting only one person can shower at a time as the water won't go down the drain and your room/ bathroom will be flooded !

Stayed 5 days The girl receptionist nagged me after staying 1 day to pay the money upfront because the day I'm checking out she won't be there like seriously I've only arrived and she wouldn't leave me alone until I paid terrible service !!!

On the other had the guy receptionist was quite nice and helpful

I have to say the breakfast was lovely

I've met the manager he was nice too gave some advice on the places to eat

It's not great location so don't suggest to walk at night you might not find your way back

We stayed 3nights here. Situated in the northwest corner of the medina, the souks are 10min and the square an enjoyable 20min walk. Quiet location, easy to find, but better signage from the main street would help. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky enough to have the 3rd floor room (on the terrace level) and had the terrace 97% to ourselves as an outdoor lounge - great for late night relaxation. The bed was one of best we stayed in in 3 weeks here and the a/c and shower a treat. Only downside, a curtain instead of a door to the ensuite - not the most pleasant. It was the most we paid for a room on our trip, but the hassle-free accommodation made up for it.

My bed luck: for whatever reason I got for the first night a room without A/C. The problem: I booked and paid a room with A/C in hot season - 40 degrees. A lot of explanations from the hotel but not one offer for a meal or a 2 Euro discount. Thats why I can not give more points. The room on the top (next to the terrace) is nice but not great. A/C working, water running - just a room in center of Marrakesch. The hotel offers airport pick-up for 15 Euros and meals for 12 Euros. Thats the double price from outside...moderate hospitality in total.
