Just returned from a 4 night stay at Riad Chergui and would thoroughly recommend to others. As many reviews already state, it's a small haven amogst the madness of the medina. Our room was excellent with views of the pool, the staff were friendly and attentive, all amenities are close at hand and Emannuelle and Bouchra made every effort to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Only slight disappointment was the pool was not heated but it was certainly refreshing! Also, due to the exchange rate, the accomodation and food is slightly pricier than would have been the case as are calcualted in euros... However, well worth the extra cost if you want the experience of a riad based holiday.

A wonderful place to stay - close to the Souks and within walking distance of many restaurants, bars etc. After arriving in Marrakech for the first time it is impossible to imagine what lies behind the front door at Riad Chergui. The owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. Lots of places to relax, including the lounge and the roof terraces .

This was a perfect base to explore Marrakech from. The staff were very polite, helpful and welcoming during our three night stay in the Riad. Emmanuelle kindly recommended restaurants for us and made the reservations for us for dinner. Our room was a good size, very comfortable and clean, and the en-suite shower room was equally as good. The continental breakfast was good with enough to keep you going until lunchtime. We didn't use the pool but I can heartily recommend the roof terrace for sunbathing!
The Riad is based within the Medina and is only a 5 minute walk to the souks (once you know your way) and approx. ten minutes to the main square.

We are the Fayers family from Suffolk and have just returned from a four night break at the beautiful Riad Chergui. Where do we begin! Well firstly, we booked this Riad on the back of all the trip advisor reviews, and they are so true, from the wonderful welcome, with mint tea, and Moroccon pastries to the wonderful staff, Emanuelle the owner, the luxurious comfort of the riad, it was all wonderful!

Our boys are 13 and 11, and this was our first visit to Marrakech. We booked two lovely rooms at the riad, and Emanuelle assisted with all excursions, and advised us on places to eat and visit. Marrakech is a very busy city, and of course, culturally so very different. We found Emanuelle and her staff so helpful at all times. The riad, has so many beautiful areas to sit and relax in the sun, from the pool areas, to the rooftop, lounge, inner courtyards, and the riad is so central to everything, yet a peaceful oassis to return to.
The rooms were lovely, bathrooms excellent, and the food fabulous, from the breakfast through to lunch and evening meals, both of which we enjoyed, as well as eating out.
Emanuelle arranged a wonderful day excursion to the Atlas mountains which we really enjoyed. Marrakech is a city to experience, but please experience it by staying at the Riad Chergui, we cannot recommend it highly enough, thank you Emanuelle and all the staff, for making our visit so wonderful.

Just returned from a absolutely fantastic stay at this Riad. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. On arrival we were served mint tea and pastries and sat by the wonderful pool. Emmanuelle gave us so much information about the riad itself and what to expect of Marrakech and things to do and see. The rooms are all lovely (we looked at them all!) and there are so many places to sit and relax. The roof terrace is stunning and a real sun trap!!

All the staff are eager to help and nothing is any trouble. The breakfast is very good and so is lunch and the evening meal if you don't want to venture out. We ate in the first night in the beautiful surroundings of the salon. Emmanuelle also recommended places for us to eat in and booked a table for us, we especially liked the Cafe Arabe.

You can book treatments to have in a room off the roof terrace and I had a massage which was very good.

I cannot recommend this Riad enough, a real oasis.

I cannot recommend riad chergui highly enough. Just returned from a week long stay and it was one of the best holidays ever. The riad organised cheap transport too and from the airport, the room was immaculate as was the whole riad. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic place to sunbathe and relax, with great views of the mountains. Breakfast was included in the price and was delicious, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, they even cooked a dinner when we arrived late from the airport.
In terms of location the riad is perfectly placed on a main road that takes you directly to the souks and the main square.
If you get the chance to stay here, DO IT!!!!! Its a slice of paradise in the busy bustling city.
