Mr Antoine welcomes you like if you were a long time friend visiting him. From our initial contact, Antoine, the owner, made sure that every little details of our trip was taking care of. The riad was very well renovated. Each of the rooms have their unique name and ambience. Ours was the Paprika room.. You will find all the commodities of a boutique hotel, but with the charm of a 5-room B&B. The riad is uniquely located just 5 min from the infamous Place Djemaa El Fna. Try his cuisine for one evening...it is worth trying.

Marrakech can be stress inducing. We stayed at either end of a trip to the mountains. Riad Limouna is an oasis of calm from where you can visit Jemaa el Fna and the souks in bite size mini trips. We also arranged our transfers to and from the airport via Limouna and ate a couple of superb meals there and so returned from our break ... feeling like we had been on holiday !

Room Tip: We had two different pairs of rooms. All were excellent.

Riad Limouna is in an ideal location and Antoine is the perfect host. The Riad itself is lovely, the rooms traditional and comfortable. You are very much made to feel like you are at home and I highly recommend having a meal there - it was delicious! Antoine took time to ensure that we made the most of our stay in Marrakech, walking us to the main square - Jamaa El Fna, giving us a map and highlighting the best places to go in the time we had. Would highly recommend this Riad to anyone!

Riad Limouna and the staff exceeded all of our expectations.
I cannot recommend it enough!
The rooms are cosy, very clean and comfortable, the food was amazing and Antoine is the perfect host who will aim to help you in anyway he can.
The location is great especially if you are only staying for a few nights as many of the main sights are all within walking distance.
Also recommended is the hammam and massage at the sister Riad - pure bliss

In short this is THE place to stay in Marrakech!!

What a lovely experience! It's a shame that this place isn't ranked higher on the list. We really could not have asked for more.

Hospitality

To describe Limouna, I could mention the beautiful rooms, the great rooftop view or the peaceful environment. However, what makes this place truly exceptional and memorable is the hospitality and service. Antoine arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport. Instead of just serving the dinner we pre-ordered when we arrived, he patiently described the cultural importance of each dish and how it was made. When we said that we wanted to walk to the market late after dinner, he insisted that he walk us there and gave us instructions on how to get back. He also gave us local tips and really helpful advice on how much things should cost in the market. Marrakech is a lovely place to visit but it can also be a tiring experience. You want to come back to a place like this at the end of the day.

Rooms and Location

The rooms are a nice size, traditional and very clean. The location is close enough to the main square to easily walk but far enough way that you don't hear any noise.

Food

Antoine recommended that we eat at Pepe Nero the day after we arrived. While we appreciated the recommendation and enjoyed Pepe Nero, their food didn't compare to what the cook at Antoine's riad prepared for us on the first night. I strongly recommend adding on a dinner to your reservation. It's affordable and delicious!

Prior to out holiday in Marrakech my partner had broken her leg, coupled with the 2 hour wait at passport control we were both starting to have a bit of a stressful time. However we had arranged transfer from the airport to the riad, and even though we were 2 and a half hours late, the taxi driver was still waiting for us patentiently and met us with a smile.

It is well worth taking a taxi to the riad as the maze of roads and the distance to the Riad is a little far to walk, especially with crutches.

Upon arrival at Riad Limouna, Simone greated us with a warm smile and mint tea. We both felt instantly relaxed and forgot about the airport. During our stay Anton and his staff were perfect hosts and made us feel completely at home. The difference in staying at a riad over a hotel is very noticable, with the environment being more personal and welcoming.

From the begining to the end Simone couldn't have done more to make our stay more enjoyable, and made sure that my partner was well looked after with her broken leg. Simone would even go out into the square on his bike to arrange transport around the city for us.

On our first night we ate at the riad which consisted of traditional Moroccan food presented elegantly. The food and the local wine were delicious and it was nice to have our first evening worked out whilst we found our bearings.

The bedroom was of a reasonable size and met our requirements perfectly. The riad is very quiet and you do not hear any of the outside noise, so we both slept very well.

Anton clearly puts a lot of love into his riad and really enjoys seeing people happy and comfortable during their stay. During our last day we were able to leave our bags at the riad after checking out so we could move about freeley during the day.

Thank you to everyone at Riad Limouna!

Directions-

If you do decide to make your own way to the riad it is very close to the Jemaa el-Fnaa main square. At the north of the square is the restaurant 'Le Marrakchi', simply walk down the street to its right and follow the black and white sign's to 'Pepe Nero', these will take you straight to the riad.

Try and keep to the right hand sides of the roads as you walk, as there is a lot of motorbike traffic coming both ways.
