This is a brilliant little oasis of calm in the hectic city of Marrakech.

Tucked away down a series of alleys (Derbs) close by the main square, the Riad is beautifully decorated and cared for with lovely rooms and authentic style bathrooms.

The hosts, Fabrice and Noel (and Casto the cat) are charming and extremely helpful with all requests and give good quality advice for places to eat and places to visit.

We would also recommend taking an evening meal at the Riad as the quality and standard of cooking and service is great.

Thank you Fabrice and Noel for making our first trip to Marrakech so enjoyable.

We stayed at the Riad el Arsa for a couple of nights in September 2012. It is beautifully decorated with large and comfortable rooms. The rooftop terrace is particularly charming and it is ideally situated in the centre of Marrakesh, close to the main square. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome, and were always available to give advice and information about Marrakesh.

Room Tip: The Chambre Royale is beautiful.

My friends and I stayed at Villa El Arsa in September 2012 and we found a peaceful retreat in our accommodation. The villa has been decorated minimally with a beautifully simple design. The riad has a great roof top terrace where sun-baking during the day or having a quiet drink in the evening is divine. The location was fantastic for exploring the Old Medina with a 5 minute walk to the Souks, cafes and many local sights! Noel is a wonderful and generous host offering us much information as well as including us on a gorgeous day trip to a waterfall where we ate our lunch at tables nestled into the cascading waters! The food in Marrakech is amazing if you know where to go.. but if you're not sure just ask Noel! One of our meals was lamb baked beneath the ground for 5 hours - I've never tasted anything like it! Fabulous! Hopefully one day I will return to Marrakech and visit Villa El Arsa!

The location was excellent and very convenient in the middle of the medina and was just a few winding streets from the main square.
The Riad is very clean, stylish and well looked after by the owners and staff. It is an oasis of peace and tranquility in the middle of the bustling old town.

I was staying at the Riad with my partner and friend for 5 nights in September 2012 and we shared a 3 bed room which was extremely comfortable.

Noel and Fabrice were always on hand to offer advice, dining and travel tips which was extremely helpful as it was our first time in Marrakech. He also invited us out with his partner and friend on a day trip to an authentic market town and out to the Atlas mountains for a great walk and lunch.

I highly recommend the place for people looking for a peaceful, helpful and conveniently located stay.

Fabrice and Noël are hosts who understand hospitality - nobtrusively on hand to offer guidance, advice and recommendations. Returning to the Riad from the heat and bustle was sweet relief. The plunge pool cools, the surroundings soothe, the mint tea revives.

Noel and Fabrice are the most wonderfully attentive hosts who made out four night stay at their riad an absolute joy. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, the plunge pool was well used by our daughter and I loved spending the afternoons reading on the roof terrace after a hectic morning in the souks. The riad is right in the centre of the medina and is only a few minutes walk from the square. Noel offered excellent advice on where to eat etc and personally took us through the maze of souks to find our way around. We ate at the riad one evening and had the most wonderful meal, cooked by Fabrice. It is the perfect place to stay in Marrakech as it is so central (we walked everywhere) and yet it is also an oasis of perfect calm.

Welcomed with tea on the roof terrace, and then not only were we recommended a place to eat that suited our requirements (traditional Moroccan food, alcohol, music), but were guided through the streets to the restaurant door by the very helpful Riad owner to decide see the menu and decide for ourselves. This was above and beyond, and felt like a safe and stress free welcome to a first night in Marrakesh.

Beautiful surrounds and great breakfast in the Riad.

Room Tip: smaller and larger rooms available but all ensuit and comefortable.
