We stayed at Riad Merstane for two nights. One at either end of our whistle stop trip to Morocco and found it to be one of the best places we stayed at. Hidden in the northern section of the Medina, it's a little off the beaten track but all the better for it. Walking to and from the Riad gave you a real opportunity to experience Medina life, slightly away from the tourist hustle of the main souk. Just outside of the Riad is the local market and local kebab stalls, excellent for a quick snack or to purchase some spices.
The Riad itself is beautiful, authentic and really relaxing. It's laid back atmosphere affects you as soon as you enter and it felt like home away from home. Rachid and the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to assist, advise or just chat.
I couldn't recommend this place enough.
