If you read trip adviser, you might think that you have to take the reviews with a pinch of salt. No so in this case: every previous positive comment or accolade is justified.
There are so many things that make Casa Taos extra ordinary and special. For me the most impressive was the quality of the staff, who were utterly fantastic. I could go on and on, but go for a day or a month and you would be hard pressed to find better anywhere.

This is a truly special place to use as a base for exploring Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains and/or, as we largely did, as a holiday destination on its own. Many other reviewers have said how wonderful the food and welcome is, and we couldn't agree more. Casa Taos is a guest house rather than a hotel, with all the lowkey ambiance and comfort that suggests. The house and rooms are beautiful and stylish, the pool is perfect, and the overall experience is unforgettable. Many thanks, Hicham and Mohammad. We will be back.

Room Tip: Call Casa Taos and ask Hicham to talk you through.

you feel like you are staying in a luxury boutique hotel yet also feel like you are at home as well......Mohammed who is the front of house will make your stay perfect,,, a lovely warm guy who will see to every need you have.....he is excellent...
Hichim the owner will make you feel like the house is your home and will make sure that every request is catered for..... it`s the type of place that you wouldn`t forget in a hurry......
The food is fantastic and you sit down at a large dining table in the kitchen and eat with the rest of the guests....which makes it nice and social.....
well worth a visit..

Casa Taos is truly a slice of Eden. The setting is magnificent, nestled amongst orange, lemon and olive trees. The rooms are comfortable, imaginatively decorated and are a generous size. However, what sets Casa Taos apart from other Riads is that you become a member of the family. Nothing is too much trouble and every whim is catered for with pleasure (or so it seems!). The tradition of sitting, family style with the other guests took this English family a day or two to get used to but we met some fabulous, interesting people and ate some exquisite food. Because you are sitting in the kitchen you can discuss food preparation and cooking style with Hicham which fascinated this wanna-be foodie!
We could well have been nightmare guests with a toddler and a baby but the staff looked after us all and treated my snotty rugrats like they are princesses, deserved or not! Really, an outstanding place and well-recommended to others.

All the 132 reviews are totally right. This is the perfect place to stay and everything that the reviews say about the location, the building, the food, the rooms, the owners, the quiet and helpful ladies in the kitchen, and above all, Mohammed (the wonderful Mohammed) is completely true; and WIFI is free!!. We stayed for a week and had diner at the Casa everyday and we had fantastic food that we did not know existed. Hicham took us (and another couple) to another of his farms for breakfast under a fig tree and shopping to a different part of Marrakech. People at the Casa speak Arabic, Spanish, English and French so you can practise your language skills.
There are only two things I would suggest (not that they are necessary): Perhaps to have the swimming pool heated during the winter months so guests can enjoy it on a warm day. Secondly, perhaps it would be a good idea to let guests know about the menu for the evening and have the choice of either starter, main course or dessert if people prefer not to have the whole menu. The menus are very generous and can make you feel that food is wasted if you do not eat all.

Oh, if only all so called "boutique hotels" could match the standard set by Casa Taos! I don't believe you could find more effortless friendly service, charming welcoming hosts, beautifully styled spacious accommodation and delicious, varied and enticing meals. This is the complete package! Highlights were Mohammed's ever smiling top notch service, congenial communal dining, exploring the best of a variety of different cuisines and Hitcham's kindness in ensuring we had some breakfast on our early departure by taking us to a wonderful boulangerie for coffee and croissants en route to the airport. The suite we had originally booked needed some work attending to just prior to our arrival. We appreciated that Hitcham took the time to forewarn of this by email and we were seamlessly upgraded to a superior suite, Mattisse. That said, all rooms at Casa Taos that we saw were of a high standard with the most unusual, but welcome inclusion of an electric blanket on our comfortable bed for the chilly February nights. This is the perfect antidote to the noise and bustle of the medina and we would heartily recommend an indulgent few days in this unique property after experiencing the captivating city of Marrakech.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as a break from the Medina which can get a bit full-on.

8km outside Marrakech, Casa Taos can be found at the end of a long unmade road. As you approach the gates you shouldn't be put off by the surroundings because once inside Casa Taos you become enveloped and cosseted within an oasis-like bubble.

Nothing was too much trouble for our worldly host, Hicham who was more than ably supported by ultra-friendly Mohammed, a man whose service skills wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and a wonderful cook (whose name escapes us), who would rustle up an international smorgasbord of delicious fare morning, noon and night.

We stayed in the huge Sophia suite which was of one-bedroom flat proportions, including open-fire, vintage bath tub, wide-screen TV and private terrace. And being mid-January and a chilly 72 degrees(!), Mohammed would come and light our fire for us each evening.

Breakfasts were a wonderfully artery-clogging orgy of toast, eggs, cake, pancakes, fruit, tapenade, juice, coffee and croissants warmed by a roaring fire.

Tastefully decorated throughout with artefacts and original art from around the world, and a garden full of orange-laden trees and home to a (leashed) playful Boxer dog who loved his belly tickled!

On the final day we had a late flight home and an urge to stay a bit longer, so Hicham kindly lent us use of his guest quarters on the edge of the grounds as a base. This was practically a one-bedroom house with shiny taledakt walls, more unusual art, and a style that wouldn't have looked out of place in Elle Decor.

Overall a memorable experience.

(Just don't take any notice of the previous review!)
