“A beautiful gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

Stayed in this quite and beautiful riad in October with a friend. The riad is situated in a narrow alleyway within the spice market. Although a busy area but the people are very friendly & welcoming & we felt very safe even coming back at the end of every night. The area is great if you need to get back and from the middle of town and near the tourist sites. The rooms are stunning, clean, the beds comfy and beautifully furnished. Redoune the manager & his team catered to our every need, serving our meals in the terrace, catering to our requests & doing it all with a big smile. We asked Redoune too many questions about the town and he was more than happy to give us all his recommendations.
The hotel is good value for money and a nice place to come back to at the end of an exhausting day navigating the madness of Marrakesh souks, we would be more than happy to come back again.

The Riad was a fabulous sanctuary within the chaos of the Spice market. The rooms were well furnished and the beds comfy. (Though I did miss tea making facilities)
There was free WiFi and the use of a PC. The plunge pool was thoroughly refreshing after sunbathing on the terrace or after a trip around the souks.
The staff were friendly and the host, Redouane, was on hand whenever you needed him. He also arranged excursions (we did a 1 night trip to a Berber Village on the edge of the Sahara) and massages and can advise on many things.
The food, that was bought fresh everyday, was considerably better than most of the places that we ate in the market or restaurants and was remarkably good value. You could eat either in the middle of the Riad, the terrace or have breakfast brought to your room.
It was remarkably well placed to visit all of the sights in both the old town and the new and there were a number of nice places to eat within 2 mins to suit all budgets and tastes.
We spent 10 days in the hotel, more than most and we loved every moment of our stay, even when it rained!

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel have more natural light but could be a little noisier as they ov...

The Riad is in the old town and easy to reach. The house is warmly furnished and has its own charme. Beside the hussle of the town, you find silence and relaxing time in the Riad. The service is more than helpfull and you fell very private. The view from the top is wonderful. It is a place for individueals that like an experience.

Room Tip: We had the suite, beadroom, separate room, terrace. Lovely

Riad Bayti is without doubt one of the nicest places I have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

The decor is tasteful and the rooms well appointed, the staff could not be more helpful and will happily assist you in any way they can, you do not feel overwhelmed or intruded upon at all. It is peaceful and relaxing.

The location is excellent, just a 10 minute walk from the main square with some great funky bars very near by for younger couples. You cannot fail to have a wonderful time here. The walk through the spice market is literally one minute long, if you go at a snails pace so location could not be better.

The Riad has recently been brought by a very nice French gentleman who has great plans for it, it all sounds very exciting and we cannot wait to come back here to see the changes!

Stay at this wonderful place an you will not be disappointed!!!! Guarenteed!

I have stayed in this Riad a number of times. I keep going back, it is the most tranquil, peaceful, place I have stayed. It is so tranquil with the splash pool and the standard is so consistent through the 4 years that I have stayed here. I will be back next month. The staff are all fantastic and the French couple that run it are full of knowledge. I'm in love. Please stay in this Riad when you come to Marrakech, there is no other like this.

Room Tip: I have stayed in many rooms, they are all sound proof with A/C so don't ever worry about the noi...

The location of the riad is interesting and convenient - within the old city, near significant sights such as Bahia Palace, but within the Mellah, the old Jewish quarters which we didn't know. It was great to discover a different part of the medina and the spice souks nearby made each journey in or out a delight for the senses.

We stayed in the Junior Suite, a stunning room with a high ceiling that was intricately and beautifully painted. After days of travelling in the South of Morocco, we were looking forward to a bit of luxury and a bath. Unfortunately there wasn't enough hot water available to fill a quarter of the bath or indeed take a shower hot all the way through. Staff promised to have the problem fixed but it was just all words and nothing was done. Also the wi-fi worked only in the library (very weak signal), which was another disappointment. On the day we left, we finally met the owner who was very nice and offered us a discount for the inconvenience which was fair enough as we've stayed in places at a fraction of the price of this one which had those basics sorted out.

All in all worth a stay, just make sure you have hot water!
