This was my first time traveling to Morocco, and I was traveling with a friend. It was hard to pick a riad, and even harder to pick a good location for a riad. I think we did it right with Palais Sebban. It is located not too far within the walls of the medina (this makes it easier to transport luggage, and get a cab as no cars are allowed) It was a 10 minute walk to the Jemma, and the various souks. The tilework and stonework with the Palais is truly stunning, and the rooms have such attention to detail. We booked through the Splendia site and were given an upgrade to a room that has to be one of the nicest I have ever stayed in - the linens, fabrics, tilework, scattered flower petals etc made us feel like queens. Said was our host, and he is so warm and friendly. We also had dinner at the riad and it was very good. You will not be disappointed in choosing the Palais Sebban. The only downside was that the WIFI was not functioning.More
