“traditional with style, great friendly service, clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

The owner Mohammed was very kind and went out of his way to be helpful as did the two kind and friendly sisters working there. He organised cheap transfers from the airport, advised us about things, gave us free drinks, generally made us very welcome. The hotel was clean, comfortable and cool with a great breakfast terrace with lovely views to compliment the traditional Moroccan breakfast with yummy fresh orange juice (some other riads we stayed in didn't have fresh juice) and hot pancakes along with bread, butter, jam, cheese, yogurt, tea and coffee, great! Lovely library and courtyard area, location was good and quiet at night but a couple of minutes down few little alleys take you right into the souks (market area). Safe as a lot of security guards and police at nearby museum etc adds to feeling of safety especially at night. Cant remember if there was air conditioning but was so cool inside the room we didn't need any. large room with desk and seating area and large bathroom with shower and old traditional clay bath, very atmospheric with several shuttered windows overlooking the courtyard. There are some slightly cheaper options closer to the main square but this was very nice if you want a traditional experience. Personally I also like the fact it is Moroccan owned as most Riads seem to be French owned and I feel better contributing back into the local economy more directly.

Room Tip: the room with the door within the library area is great, spacious and full of traditional touches

We just returned from Morocco and 3 nights in this riad. It has few amenities, few services -- no concierge, no room service, no restaurant, a courtyard dirty with bird droppings and a tiny kitchen (bfast was a hassle -- when we didn't want to eat at 8:30, we had to scrounge for ourselves). Rooms were seedy and uncomfortable. If the light had been have decent in the bathoom we would have been really grossed out, I'm sure. Just our opinion.

Everything about Riad Dalia was absolutely positive! This place was one of my favorite places to stay of anywhere I've traveled in the world. It's truly a hidden gem. Nestled in the back alleys of the medina, it's a short walk to the souks and main square. The facilities, staff, and food are impeccable. Truly one of the nicest places I've ever stayed...and at such a reasonable price. I couldn't recommend Riad Dalia more highly!

I and three friends enjoyed our stay here

The staff were warm and friendly

It's a genuinely traditional riad and the rooms are furnished in a traditional manner

Breakfast was excellent

The location is good as its walking distance to square

One minor drawback of the location is that it's off the Main Street down a lane way
So some people may feel a little nervous walling down to the riad at night time but we found that there is always residents walking up and down the laneway, plus the palace police/guards are on the Main Street

We booked Riad Dalia not knowing exactly what to expect and as we approached down the Medina's dark and narrow streets, we were immediately having second thoughts. But as soon as you open the front door you are confronted by a beautiful and calm oasis of comfort. Like everyone who stays here, we were impressed by the welcome the Mohammed gives. He goes out of his way to make sure that you have everything you need. When we told him where we wanted to go for dinner, not only did he make the reservation but he arranged for one of his friends to come and walk with us to the restaurant so that we would definitely find it. It was absolutely essential that he did that.

The room was plenty large for us and looked at many of the others which were all amply sized. The bathroom was gorgeous and the hot water was plentiful and very hot, something that can be rare in Morocco. The breakfast is a mix of Moroccan and European and while simple is more than sufficient. The common area of the riad is very nice and great to have a drink at the end of the day. We had a couple small issues at the very end of our stay, but I don't think those were really Mohammed's fault.

For the native English speakers: Mohammed speaks and understands English better than he is willing to admit. He's not confident about it though. It would be good to tease it out of him as much as possible so he grows more confident.

Spent 4 nights here and had a wonderful time. Owner Mohamed is so welcoming and sweet and helps you with whatever you need in Marrakech and Morocco. The rooms are super cosy and beautiful, also clean and well kept. Thanks you so much Mohamed and we will be back!!

This was our first stay in Morocco and we had nothing but class when from the start to the end of our stay in May. Mohammad was one of many people that we met on our trip that will be imprinted in the memory of the country. The helpfulness at any little detail was noted.
The room was very cozy and we had no issues on our stay. Food was prepared whenever we asked for it, and was a delight to enjoy a dinner there.
I will recommend this to anybody. Also the location is great, very close to everything, but not too confusing to get to and from on your own.
