We went to the Bahia Palace with a guide, which was well worth it because I suspect it would be tricky to find on your own. With the benefit of our guide, we had the opportunity to hear the history, what the different rooms were used for, how the French occupation changed the building's architecture and how the palace operated. It's a beautiful palace, rich in history and cultural heritage. The mosaic work is outstanding. Despite it being low tourist season there were many people going through the palace. Not sure it's somewhere to take children as it's more about the architecture as opposed to things while will entertain kids. Recommend visiting.

This took a bit of finding let me tell you! It's pretty much a ruin now but you can imagine it in the past and love the storks who live there. The Minbar is worth a look- 12th century work.

Crowds of people swarmed throughout the Palace, which felt like several Riads joined together. Lots of amazing carving and mosaic.

We visited this when we were wrongly told that the the Badhi Palace was "closed" - a favourite trick of the residents. However, it was worth a trip and the delightful painted doors and designs were lovely to look at.
