Dar Anika is an absolute gem. The location is excellent and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served on the terrace rooftop and is delicious. However what really makes this place are the staff. They cannot do enough for you. Samir the manager sat down with us when we arrived and we talked about what we wanted to do and see. He then suggested some tours for us, restaurants to eat in and organised our transportation. It made it so easy and his recommendations were excellent. It was my birthday while we were there and the staff presented me with flowers and cake and even sang happy birthday! For anyone going to Morocco who wants to stay in a traditional riad and soak up the atmosphere of Marrakech, this is the place to stay.

From the moment we arrived we were well taken care of. Our excursions and golf were all taken care of by the hotel. It was lovely to sit back and just relax. Well done to all the lovely staff and management.

Excellent location, superb staff. They take care of you in any detail. Very helpfull in a city where occidental can be little bit lost. Let the staff drive you on the choice of restaurant for dinner they know what to do and they suggest you very nice places. I really reccomend to anyone going to Marrakech.

Such a special place with lovely warm hospitality from the staff, Samir, Fadwa, Tariq and many others. Beautiful room and surroundings made the stay special as did the great hammam and massage. Special thanks for the treat given to my husband for his birthday - flowers, cake, champagne and not least all the staff including the Chef coming to the roof terrace to sing happy birthday in 3 languages - memorable! Recommend the meal on the roof terrace, just pace yourself as it is immense but lovely. Recommend also the walking tour with Mustafa when you arrive as it helps you to acclimatise to the medina. Kosybar just over the road is great for drinks too. Superb service and place

It's difficult to know where to start in reviewing this oasis in the hustle and bustle that is Marrakech. I guess the overwhelming impression is the wonderful service and attention that all of the staff gave us during our visit. From the moment we were collected from the airport nothing was too much trouble, and the level of service was impeccable, far exceeding any expectations that we might have had. Samir and his team really are faultless.

The riad itself is perfectly located - right on the edge of the old souk, close to three of the major attractions, but only 10 mins walk from the main square, so everything is in easy walking distance.

Inside the riad has been elegantly converted with the rooms around the traditional courtyard into which they have been able to fit a welcoming pool. Every room is different so each have their own charm and quirkiness, but all are cleaned and decorated to a high standard.

The flexibility of the spaces in the riad were excellent - you could have breakfast in the courtyard, on the balcony level, or on the rooftop terrace. Despite visiting in February we were able on a couple of days to eat on the terrace which has great views across the rooftops. On a couple of evenings we ate in the lounge area which has a glass wall overlooking the courtyard and, for the cold evenings, a roaring log fire too.

The food was exceptional - both of the evening meals were excellent, and the breakfasts almost overwhelming in the quality and quantity of the food.

There were a number of occasions where the staff really went out of their way to help us and to provide a level of service that we don't think we have encountered anywhere else.

We cannot think of a reason why anyone visiting Marrakech should want to stay anywhere else other than Dar Anika. When we return we will certainly be back here.

Room Tip: The rooms are all so individual we suggest you email the riad first and find out which one would suit you best
