Everything in this place was just perfect. Since the way the staff makes you feel at home every time you get in, bringing you hommade cookies and an addictive mint tea, to the decoration details in every corner of the Riad. There was magic everywhere, It really was hard to leave that place.

Wow! What a beautiful place. The drive to Anika didn't suggest we'd be met with such opulence when we arrived. We had the traditional mint tea by the lovely pool before being shown our gorgeous rooms. We were upgraded to a lovely four poster - very spacious, cool and clean : we found the air con v effective! A huge comfy bed was most welcome after a tiring day negotiating the souks. Breakfast was fine. We had lunch a couple of times - it was okay but 1) nothing special and 2) expensive. It's quicker to walk to the square rather than taking a cab but it's not a scenic route (!) and a little unnerving so ask the hotel for a guide..at least for part of the way. The square is amazing at night and a real experience. Try the food stalls - we survived! Number 75 was excellent. The riad was a welcome oasis in the madness! If I returned to Marrakech, I'd definitely go back to Anika.

We stayed with Abou in Riad dar Anika in January of this year for a week on our honeymoon.
It was our first time in Morocco travelling from Ireland.
On first arrival in Marrakesh it looks like a daunting city, but the warm welcome from Abou and his staff (and tortoise called couscous) made us feel right at home :)
We were brought into the beautiful Riad from a busy street and greeted with pastries, mint tea and milk.
Once we had relaxed after our travelling, we were invited onto the lovely roof terrace that has full views of the old town were Abou spent an hour with us giving us our bearings around the city with a map and drawing points of interest and telling us the do's and don’ts.
On arriving in the city we were sure we would hire a guide to show us around, but after the hour with Abou he had put our minds at rest and we felt happy to venture out by ourselves.
Abou pretty much organised our entire week for us, booking restaurants and show’s -without him we would not have seen a quarter of the things we did and would have fallen into the usual tourist routines and traps.
The Riad is a beautifully decorated in a traditional manner and is a calming spot in the middle of a bustling city, the staff could not do more to make you feel welcome.
Fresh flowers in the room and rose petals on our bed!!
The food is unreal - just be aware that there is so much of you will probably put on a few pounds!!
Traditional Moroccan breakfast is served on the beautiful roof terrace - this is a real treat.
The Raid is a real gem in the heart of the old town in Marrakesh and Abou and his staff honestly could not do more to welcome you to the beautiful Riad and their city.
My wife and I both travel regularly on business and we have never experienced service like it.
Top marks and highly recommended :)

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at Dar Anika and were blown away by its beauty, tranquillity and tasteful interior. The level of service of its staff was without compare. We were welcomed with piping hot mint tea and wonderful pastries and cakes. Our room was decorated with rose petals and the plunge pool gave welcome relief after the heat of the day. The top terrace, where we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast, had wonderful views over the medina. Situated close to most of the main tourist points of interest this riad is a must to stay at.

Dar Anika is simply perfect! Service is excellent, everyone is always polite and they make you feel very welcome. In terms of locations is also very good, about 10 to 15 minutes to Jemaa El Fnaa and 5 minutes to the Bahia Palace and mostly close to the main tourist points. The rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable, and there is a terrace where you can have breakfast while appreciating the view! Oh, breakfast is amazing!! Their cook is the best! Ask for the scrambled eggs with onions, tomato and cheese, sooo yummy!

Also, if you want to relax, they have a pool. If it’s hot, you can refresh yourself and if it’s chilly they warm it for you :).

Dar Anika was our last hotel in Morocco and it couldn’t have been better! Thank you very much for the hole staff and special thanks to Tarik who was always so kind!
