This is information I wish I knew! From the airport, taxi drivers will accost you and insist they can take you to the riad and that the buses will not. However the buses do go to the old city just like taxis - both won't get you straight to the riad though. Don't pay more than 50 dirhams for a taxi and there are tips elsewhere on this (such as walking away towards the airport roundabout where they are cheaper anyway).

The riad is in Bab Doukkala district and just off Rue Bab Doukkala, which is a busy market street (covered in places) and not as full of tourists as other streets further south or east. As you walk up Rue Bab Doukkala from the Grande Mosque Bab Doukkala (where our taxi dropped us off), within 5 minutes there is an unnamed street to your right. Take it and go straight to the end and the door in front (where the street turns 90 degrees left) is your riad. We rang the top bell to get an answer. You will also be accosted by lots of young men offering to take you to your riad for a fee as soon as you get out. Google Maps works, but reception is patchy in the covered streets.

The riad was welcoming although we had to wait a few minutes for the owner and then had to return later for our room. The open courtyard looks lovely and we were served mint tea of course. Our room was quite dimly lit and there was no hot water initially though this was fixed later - the shower was weak and lukewarm at best. Wi-Fi was quite slow and there is no TV - but that's the riad experience. If you are travelling in winter, be warned that the rooms will be cold and you will need to use all of the bedspread layers to warm up, especially if returning at night. For most people I'm sure this is irrelevant as we seemed to have gone during a particularly cold time.

The staff were a mix with some people being pleasant and others being relatively unhelpful.

However, we did find that we were quite far away from the main sights or the more interesting streets in the old city. If I was going again, I'd suggest staying nearer Jemaa El Fna or Riad Litoun Zakdim. The plus side as I said, is less tourists. Also the famous Heritage Spa is only 5 minutes walk away.

If you stay there, go to Rue Bab Doukkala and turn right. Towards the end of the street (2 min walk) on the left there is a local boulangerie that serves tasty morning pastries for about 1-3 dirhams each.

Nice, clean and welcoming with great rooms and breakfast. Its a bit chilly in the bigger rooms during winter, but they have AC/heater in the rooms. We also got help from the owner to plan a trip to the sahara.
Maybe 10-15 walk to the big square and the souqs. Might be good to know that almost right outside of the riad is a very busy street/alley which you have to move through to get anywhere.

Me and my boyfriend spent our 2 year anniversary here last weekend. The first thing I would suggest is to arrange an airport transfer to the riad as it's in the old Medina and is very difficult to find. We made the mistake of taking a taxi from the airport at night and found out we payed way too much!

When we got inside the riad, it looks exactly like the pictures! We were greeted by the manager Rafik who was very calm and relaxed which calmed us down straight away. He immediately sat us down and asked if we'd like to try their mint tea (It's AMAZING!). He gave us a map and showed us all the places to visit. He continued to ask us about our day when we arrived back in the evenings and he also offered us an upgrade for the last night but we actually loved our room. It was just a normal double room (clean, tidy, towels changed everyday) but it was at the top of the riad and was the only room up there so was very nice and private! :)

We found Mohammed to be so helpful. He helped us every night with finding a place to eat and would walk us to the restaurant. He even offered to come back when we were finished! He also served us breakfast every morning and was just such a delight! He was great! :)

We felt very happy and safe here so I would definitely recommend this place to anybody!

I had a wonderful 3 night stay here, with a convenient airport pick-up arranged early on. Upon arrival at the riad, we immediately felt at home. Not only was the riad very elegantly decorated, the staff really went above and beyond to ensure your stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Rafik helped arrange an amazing once-in-a-lifetime trip to the desert and gave solid recommendations on where to go and what to see. We also received a room upgrade which was very thoughtful and kind of them.

I miss the fresh squeezed orange juice and pancakes at breakfast, as well as the divine mint tea! I would definitely return to this lovely place! Very conveniently located, about a 15min walk to the square and the souk or out to Gueliz.
