It was more than we expected, the attention to detail of the decor is absolute of both Riads (Riad Siwan), the comfort and service was excellent and the owners Cees and Marjke just made sure every need or query was seen too. Lucky enough to spent night in both Riads....we found it hard to compare or criticize either. The Souks are so much fun....if you are going to shop knock the price down by at least 70% and then start bargaining. Dont pay more than 40% of the asking price

We had two suites at the Riad Azzar. Both rooms were beautifully appointed as well as the riad itself. Riad Azzar exceeded all of our expectations - superb service, old world authenticity, great location, hearty breakfasts, etc. We could not have asked for more. The beautifully tiles rooftop terrace was a great place to hang before and after long days of touring. Our hats off to the owners (who are very gracious and helpful) and to the staff (especially Fatima who took us under her wing). When my travels bring me back to Marrakech, I will most certainly book the Riad Azzar.

Room Tip: Suites are great as they're located on the 2nd floor and larger. A smaller Riad like the Azzar...

Just had three nights in Marrakech in the Riad Azzar in a standard room on the ground floor which was delightful although fairly petite. Very well equipped bathroom. Continental Breakfast was included and was served on the roof terrace which was a great way to start the day. The staff were helpful and it was great to have a beer in the Riad in the evening by the fire before tackling the tricky routes to the restaurant or the souq. We were the only guests so it felt like our private house.
The heater in our room was not working but was picked up by the staff and a replacement found before we had to ask.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are on the ground floor and the suites that we saw were larger and on the first f...

Just had a brilliant stay at Riad Azzar in Marrakech. In a city with so many riads it is hard to determine the poor and average adresses from the good and excellent ones. Well, this one is excellent indeed. In the heart of the medina but yet a very peaceful place. Beautiful and spacious rooms. Delicious meals and very warm hospitality. Cees, Marijke en Geraldina can provide you with good advice. The trip to Imlil that they proposed was a highlight, as well as the cooking workshop. The other Riad of Cees and Marijke, Riad Siwan, is beautiful too.

Five of us stayed four nights using three rooms at Riad Azzar. The owners became good friends. The staff was lovely and helpful -- serving us delicious food to our request. When we needed help with our airlines reservations, the owners made extra effort to make the change for us. We would stay there again without question and highly recommend the property to anyone looking for an oasis in the middle of the Marrakesh medina.

This is a very nice riad well located in the Marrakesh medina. The rooms were a bit smaller than those we had elsewhere in Morocco, but very nicely appointed. Our meals were very good. The service was good, but not great. Once I spoke to the manager, the service improved. All and all, a good place to stay.

We stayed two nights in the riad and loved the place. There is nothing to add/change it is simply the perfect retreat from the buzzling streets of the medina. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The location excellent to explore the medina.
