“Superb Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

Fabulous riad in the heart of Marrakech. Located just by the entrance to the souks and next door to the Museum. 5-10 minute walk from taxi drop giving you the full Marrakech experience as you walk to the riad. Tastefully decorated and the service we received from ALL members of staff was like being in a 5 star hotel. They went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Highly recommend the Hammam for relaxing end to day after shopping in the souks. Lunch on the roof terrace was superb, We were on a weekend break and the location and style of riad could not have been more perfect. Highly recommend!

Tasteful and elegant hotel with good breakfast (albeit inexplicably awful coffee) and wonderful hammam. Quality use of local crafts with a modern eye. Perfectly soothing alternative to the madness of the surrounding medina. As a female traveling solo, I was grateful for the unobtrusive helpfulness of the hotel staff - street harassment in the medina is widespread and irritating, and the hotel team was very kind about offering the occasional pedestrian guide service to new locations, which helped to prevent me getting more hopelessly lost and hassled. (Of course, getting lost is part of the fun in the medina, and the harassment culture is what it is. But it's nice to know the staff are willing and able to offer an alternative!) This hotel offers the lovely experience of making you feel immediately at home but in a decidedly far away locale. Worth returning!

If you are looking for good location, beautiful and stylish interior and great service this riad is the place to book. I have just spend 4 days celebrating my birthday here together with 14 friends and couldn't be more happy with my choice of riad. Mayby it was extra successful since we rented the entire place which ment that we could play the music we wanted, as loud as we wanted and could walk around in our robes. It felt like the place was ours! And let me just emphasize that the staff will do everything they can to please you, especially the manager Laurent, who has been a terrific help with bookings and organizing trips. Loved it! And so did everyone of my guests.

We stayed at Talaa 12 for 3 nights. It was a lovely stay. THe location of the Riad is just right in the centre of the vivid medina and in a walking distance to Jamaa el fna and Museum and Ben youssef school. 5-10 minutes walking from where cars are allowed to enter. great experience to discover Marrakech.
The Riad is stylish and well maintained. The manager and staff are very helpful and are always there for you. A bit of language challenge when manager is not around but it s not a big deal. The rooms are clean (no tv -- you might consider bringing ipad, ipod and whatever entertainment you may need with you). No pool. I stayed in a suite, the aircon didnt work well during first 2 nights eventhought i raised the issue to the manager. They provided 1 large bottle of water, didnt get refilled during the turndown. I came back from a night out and was thirsty for the whole night because i didnt want to wake up the staff.

The breakfast was not as good as i expected. very limited tho the view from the roof top is awesome.

However, it's a lovely stay in Marrakech. With an improvement here and there, this oasis would have been perfect spot.

Amazing boutique stay in the funky old Medina with suites and rooms in a simple yet contemporary Moroccan style. Just minutes from Place Jemaa-el-Fna. Beautiful courtyard with orange trees, palms and plenty of intimate seating areas. Very nice roof terrace where you can have breakfast and chill out and for during wintertime by the fireplace. Excellent personal service. They arranged also a very nice tourguide for me and my mom. I really recommend this place if you like small, personal and stylish places to stay.

The romance of Marrakech is complimented beautifully by Talaa. Talaa offers a sanctuary to refresh and relax whilst just outside the craziness of the souk is in full whirr for the day - perfect if you want to be right in the action yet have a home away from it. Aesthetically, the riad is stunning and punctuated by interesting art pieces in warm oriental tones. However, it is the staff that make this riad exceptional. They went out of there way to ensure Marrakech was a magical experience. They provided quality advice, guidance through the souk, booked tables at the best restaurants and had a knack for being charmingly present yet not obtrusive. I plan to return to Talaa regularly and wish you the exact same experience.

Room Tip: Any room would be amazing.

The most beautiful calming Oasis right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

It's ideally located near to the Ben Youseef college meaning it's almost impossible to get lost. Staff were delightful and couldn't do enough for you. No breakfast location could be beaten, roof terrace looking across the city and mountains sipping on amazingly fresh orange juice.

Thank you for a lovely stay Talaa 12!
