Booked this hotel via Groupon and was expected to be disappointed as with all Grpupon offera but I have to admit the hotel was nice, breakfast was really good and we also had dinner there which was OK.
Location was good and service was nice too, can't fault it really.

I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect as a 3 star hotel but was pleasantly surprised. Le Caspien is a lovely hotel tucked away in the centre of the new town Marrakech. Rooms were big enough, clean and had a fantastic shower (poor shower facilities being a pet hate of mine). The maids cleaned every morning. I also sleep soundly on the very comfortable beds. I'd recommend highly for a budget hotel the only downside being one very surly receptionist who looked like she was 'sucking on a wasp' most of the time - we however remember her fondly as she made us laugh every morning! If you do stay please look after the old taxi driver who was very sweet even with his very old car - tip generously.

Based in the new town, it is very different to the Riad-style accommodation. As a small hotel, it wasn't too over-whelming, and they have managed to keep some culture in the décor throughout.

Ask for a quiet room - my original room out the front was VERY noisy, but they helpfully moved me to a room overlooking the pool with a private balcony.

Room Tip: Ask fro a room at the back

While the room was clean, with AC, and the neighborhood OK, the rooftop terrace for drinks in the late afternoon, and especially breakfast in the morning (pretty good breakfast, too), was a great place from which to start our travels in Morocco. Morning or afternoon, we enjoyed the view and the friendly service.

We have just returned from a three night stay in this wonderful hotel. It is a 3* and this is obvious in some minor details. Bathrooms were clean but could do with a little spuce up.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was just fantastic not only the set menu but the ala carte menu was absolutely superb.
The beds were very comfortable.
If I must find fault with anything it would be the towels need renewing but other than that we had a brilliant time.
I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the front can be a little noisy from the road.

Pleasant enough hotel with some good points and some less so good. Room was clean and reasonably furnished. Plumbing works and hot water is hot. Air conditioning also works. We opted for a bed and breakfast rate which was a good choice as breakfast is good value for money. It is served buffet style, the same every day, but lots of choice of fresh tea and coffee, orange juice, bread, pastries, fruit, cheese, eggs, olives, yogurt, jams and muffins.

The hotel pool is small and quite shaded so not ideal for catching the sun. The roof terrace is a better bet, with good 360 degree views, but I could have done without the piped euro-pop that plays there.

The reception staff were not particularly welcoming. My main problem with the hotel was its location, just a few doors from a very popular night club/pool hall which attracted crowds of young people and their mopeds every night. This made the road outside the hotel noisy, so ask for a room at the back and on a higher floor if this will bother you. We felt safe inside the hotel, but the surrounding streets are typical of Marrakech and not very clean or well lit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel, and a higher floor.
