“Breakfast on the Roof”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

While the room was clean, with AC, and the neighborhood OK, the rooftop terrace for drinks in the late afternoon, and especially breakfast in the morning (pretty good breakfast, too), was a great place from which to start our travels in Morocco. Morning or afternoon, we enjoyed the view and the friendly service.

We have just returned from a three night stay in this wonderful hotel. It is a 3* and this is obvious in some minor details. Bathrooms were clean but could do with a little spuce up.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was just fantastic not only the set menu but the ala carte menu was absolutely superb.
The beds were very comfortable.
If I must find fault with anything it would be the towels need renewing but other than that we had a brilliant time.
I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the front can be a little noisy from the road.

Pleasant enough hotel with some good points and some less so good. Room was clean and reasonably furnished. Plumbing works and hot water is hot. Air conditioning also works. We opted for a bed and breakfast rate which was a good choice as breakfast is good value for money. It is served buffet style, the same every day, but lots of choice of fresh tea and coffee, orange juice, bread, pastries, fruit, cheese, eggs, olives, yogurt, jams and muffins.

The hotel pool is small and quite shaded so not ideal for catching the sun. The roof terrace is a better bet, with good 360 degree views, but I could have done without the piped euro-pop that plays there.

The reception staff were not particularly welcoming. My main problem with the hotel was its location, just a few doors from a very popular night club/pool hall which attracted crowds of young people and their mopeds every night. This made the road outside the hotel noisy, so ask for a room at the back and on a higher floor if this will bother you. We felt safe inside the hotel, but the surrounding streets are typical of Marrakech and not very clean or well lit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel, and a higher floor.

Staff very helpful, nice location and a wonderful pool. The hotel was fully booked when we arrived, so we needed to wait for our room to be made up before checking in, but besides that the staff were helpful, and the bar was really nice.

Only spent one night in this hotel but visited the rooftop bar and restaurant numerous times during our trip. The rooms themselves are very noisy if you have a room facing the road but they were clean and modern. Wifi is available in the lobby and on the roof. The rooftop bar is great, cocktails are cheap and were very nice. The food we had both nights we ate here was amazing and very tasty. Not the place to go if you want authentic, Moroccan decor but not bad and in a good location in Gueliz.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the road.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of an Intrepid tour. The rooms were basic and noisy if you have a room facing the road. Wifi is accessible only from reception. There is wifi on the roof terrace although it never worked when I was up there. There is a cafe and a restaurant, which is right next to (too close) to the pool. We had dinner at the restaurant once, with the menu ranging from pizza, pasta, salads and steak. Negatives were the useless breakfast staff who had little English and didn't refill tea, etc when they were empty. The hotel is about 30 minutes walk to the square and 15 minute walk to Majorelle Gardens. You can also take the no. 1 bus to and from the square.

Room Tip: Choose a room not facing the road
